I see that NBA players listed height is their height measured with their shoes on. I have checked pre-draft measurements and their actual height is less than their listed height. e.g.
Blake Griffin height without shoes is 6’8.5
Chris Paul – 5’11.75
Kobe – 6’4.75

The only exception i’ve found seems to be Kevin Garnett.
So does this mean Rondo’s height is somewhere between 5’11 and 6ft without shoes.

I’m 5’0 and I am going to wear these boots that make me 5’6. The shoe doesn’t look obvious, but I will be when I’m suddenly 6 inches taller around people I know. Would it be embarrassing If people found out that I’m wearing height increasing shoes?

I need to look taller for Homecoming tommrow! i need at least 2 inches. Please give me a simple way to make homemade shoe lifts or something to make me look taller asap. the best chosen answer will get more points than usual

I do a lot of weight training in the gym usually 3 times a week and it’s pretty heavy weight. I do a lot of squats and power cleans so I’m doing olympic style lifts. What kind of shoes would be best? I’m not wanting to spend too much money on shoes preferably 70-80$. Usually Nike’s go best with my feet and if they have a certain type of training shoe I could use that would be great, but I’m just asking to get other people’s opinions. Thanks

I need the height, shoe size, and gender of 225 people for a math

I have pretty big shoes and I was wondering if there is something I can put in them to make me look 1-2 taller. Any suggestions?

I personally think it is very clever. You are not technically lying to her unless you deny it when she brings it up. Some shoes (doesn’t have to be height increasing shoes) just make you taller in the shoe naturally like boots for instance. Your girlfriend also shouldn’t be that upset with you after because in case she is shallow but still really loves you, you are showing her that you can pull off a "taller than her" impression in front of her friends with height increasing shoes. What do you think?

And sorry, I wouldn’t EVER go up to a girl that was taller than me naturally and ask her out. Even if she did say yes, I would feel awkward going places with her and being the shorter guy
And yeah sorry, short guys are kind of funny to women :/. So it would look weird either way in a relationship

I usually wear a converse with my shoe lift, but i’m getting tired of it. Do you recommend any more type of show that if i put my show lifts in it wont be obvious? btw, my show lift is adjustable and I usually wear it at around 8 cm

I am 17 and 5"7 (Please don’t say that’s a fine height because it isn’t). When I go to the store, I get treated like a child and sometimes people think I’m like a freshman in high school and it really kind of hurts my feelings but I know they don’t know any better.

When me and my dad go places together, I get a BIG taste of the short man vs tall man lifestyle.

My dad is 6"1 and women treat him with respect and sometimes they giggle around him because he is cute and is good at social skills. I am cute to, but the HEIGHT is the big difference. I can’t really explain how women act toward short guys but it’s kind of cold and they DO in fact treat tall guys with more respect.

So I am NOT going to live this short man’s lifestyle for the rest of my life because it’s miserable to me and it makes me depressed when I go out in public to events and such.

Because in our shallow world, height really DOES matter to the majority of the population even though there are those sweethearts that will accept you for who you are and couldn’t care less.

But I’m shallow to, when I see guys like 5"4 I think I am automatically better then them because I am taller. I fight against this thought and get to know the person and they actually turn out to be fairly descent.

But there is a part of me that ALWAYS feels like I am a bit better then them because that is our nature as humans. Which is why I’m really never nervous around guys shorter than me.

Also, I know some of you will say "Puberty isn’t finished for you yet" but it kind of is. I have broad shoulders, pubic hair that extends across my thighs and up to my belly button, a cracked voice, and an adult looking bone structure.

So are height increasing shoes really not bad for a person like me?

I’m 14 and I think I’m taller than average. I’m 182 lbs, 6’1" and I wear a 15 wide shoe (in men’s size).

And for women, my girlfriend is 15, 124 lbs, 5’10" and wears size 6 shoe (in women’s size). I have no clue where she is next to average.

Thanks! I’m just curious, by the way.

If you do not know what a shoe lift is, it is a heel that guys can put in their shoe to make them look an inch of two taller.

Now I am a guy and I’m about to see a girl that I’ve known online for a few years and she is VERY subconscious about her height (She thinks I’m 5"10 but I’m really 5"8. The same height as her) but I’m going to wear a 2 inch shoe lift to make her feel more comfortable.

Now do you think it’s a big deal if a guy wears shoe lifts? I mean if you really like the guy but feel a bit insecure about being seen the same height or shorter than him then wouldn’t you not mind him wearing shoe lifts in public?

What are your opinions?
*same height or TALLER I meant to say

i am 16 years old and 5’4”. i am looking to get a new pair of t strapped character shoes. i dance and participate in musical theatre so the heels cant be too high to dance but i do want them to give me some height. i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how tall to get? thanks so much

I need a shoe lift for one shoe. I will be doing quite a bit of dancing and I don’t want it to slip around etc…..Hope someone can help. thanks

Also, what are the chances of a 5"7 1/2 (barefoot) male growing 2more inches before 18 when he is 16 1/2. Dad-5"10 Mom-5"3

Where can I find a good pair of weight lifting shoes? I don’t want to use running type shoes and I would like some that look decent. Any ideas?
I live in Boone, N.C.
How comfortable are the shoes also? I would like my shoes to be fairly comfortable.

I am thinking about wearing height increasing shoes but I think I will have to buy a whole WARDROBE full of them so I can go places and be the same height xD. Because people won’t think it’s right if I go places with different height.

What do you think?

HI!
i want to know what the lightest and best running shoe is.
i like the light shoes and cushion and stuff like that.
im tired of that crappy 5 pounds shoes! i heard the puma lift and adizero are pretty light.
could u find a shoe thats not to expensive and really good running shoe for track and stuff?
THANKS!

Btw barefoot is right.
@ Dan M: That’s right even if you’d have shoes that ‘ll make you 1.5 inch taller.

I’m going to take my girlfriend to A LOT of fun places (she is naturally 1-2 inches taller than me but I am wearing height increasing shoes that makes me appear 2 inches taller than her) but what things should I avoid with height increasing shoes to not let her see my real height? I know swimming is one but what else so I can be prepared?

I’m only 5"6 3/4 and my girlfriend is 5"8 and my platform shoes raise me up to about 5"10 and she wants to go swimming tomorrow D;. Also, what if she ever wants to have sex, how do you pull it off? Do I just stand on my tippy toes everywhere?

I always thought the standard was to give your height without shoes but apparently some people cheat to give themselves an extra 2 inches. Just curious how many people do that?

I have severe flat feet, I have had numerous ankle sprains in my day from Basketball injuries. I have been into weight lifting for a few years and have started venturing into cardio. I need a sneaker with a good arch and good support for me to run on the treadmill and not experience pain, or ankle brace or something. I really need a good sneaker

we are both 5’6" and I’m afraid to wear heels because I don’t want to tower over him. Any shoe ideas??

I have mild cerebral palsy, and my right leg is about 1/2 shorter than the left. For couple years I’ve been suffering from lower back pain, and because of the leg length discrepancy, my right hip has now arthritis, and have difficulty walking.. sigh.. I already have a shoe heel lift for my shoes ( I found that MBT shoes were the most comfortable shoes out there.. but quite expensive.. sigh again). Anyway, I am looking for the same inserts I can wear while I am indoors, since I do not wear shoes inside my house. I THINK i read somewhere on the internet that there is some kind of an insert, (possibly made of sillicon) that I would put it on my foot and wear a sock to secure it, so I could have the same/similar support while I am at home. Would anyone know of this?? Also, I know that there’s childrens’ cerebral palsy specialist, but couldn’t find one for adults?!? what about for those children who grow up to be ‘adults’ ? who are we suppose to go seek help? One more thing.. I want back surgery asap, but I also know that I may need hip replacement surgery as well.. would it be too much if I have the surgery back to back? I am sick of living with pain.. the quality of life sucks.. One last thing.. with the hip replacement surgery, would they be able to help with the leg length discrepancy? Sorry it’s so long winded.. I’ve never really asked a question online, but I’m getting desperate for answers that my physicins weren’t able to answer… sigh.. it’s so frustrating.. I had a 930am appointment with a nero/orthopedic specialist today, and weren’t seen until 3??! how is that possible??!! I would greatly appreciate it if anyone out there would be able to provide me with an answer. Thanks!
