Do 14 yr old girls still grow much taller?
I read somewhere that girls usually stop growing taller at 16. At 14, has growth already significantly slowed down?
I am interested in knowing this because if my 14 y/o daughter is still growing much taller, I will have to buy clothes 1-2 sizes bigger and shoes 1-1.5 sizes bigger for her this winter. I hate it when I buy something close to her size and she outgrows it in less than a year, not being able to wear it the next winter. Winter clothes are costly.

no most people dont sto growing till thier 20′s

in high school i grew 4 inches. =)

winter clothes are costly but try stores liek ross, tj max, ect you can find some cheap stufff there =) or go ot the department stores when they are on sale.
i stopped getting taller by the time i was 16 but my mom was lucky she had 4 girls so i got all the hand me downs lol i was the youngest
I wish I could have continued to grow- I’ve been the same height since I was 12. Even though your daughter could continue to grow, I doubt she’ll grow significantly just over the winter at this age.
My 15yr old step daughter was about a 1/2inch shorter than me last summer and this summer she was taller than me. I stopped growing at about 15 or 16. She probably still has a few more years to go. Sorry….I know it can get really expensive.
Its different for everyone. I stoped growing at 13 and im 5’5" however my sister didnt stop gorwing untill she was 21 shes 5’11". We do have different dads so maybe its genetic! you daughter may grow untill her 20′s she may stop gorwing tomorrow.

Unfortunately, yes–14 y/o girls (and boys, for that matter) can still grow as much as another 6 inches before stopping that growth. Clothing can be quite expensive, no doubt. Try buying a size higher if it helps. If she’s in petite miss, go to jr. miss, and if there, go to misses sizes. Maybe she could try buying some of her own clothes, especially in styles she might like (within reason, of course). Continued good luck.
I grew taller till I was 17 or 18, and my feet grew, too.

Well i’m 14 and most people assume im much younger cause i seemed to stop growing so i have the opposite problem that teen cloths and shoes don’t fit me. Luckily i still like kids cloths. Oh well guess that’s not much help.
Maybe coffe will stop your daughter from growing more taller.
