I'd say you have stopped growing taller. That's based on your age and your parent's height.

There is not much you can do about it. It's just life. Some are tall. Some are less so. I'm sure there are plenty of "grow taller" scams out there but if there were any genuine supplements or exercises out there, we'd have heard about them on the news.

There is only one actual treatment out there that can increase height. It is a medical procedure that is sometimes used on little people (dwarfs, midgets, etc). It involves surgery and years of pain. they basically put screws in your shinbones at the top and bottom. The screws are attached to a bar of some kind that can be adjusted to push the screws farther apart, thus forcing the bone to grow longer. Every so often they ratchet the screws a little farther apart and you live in pain until the bone elongates enough to take the pressure off. Then they do it again. After 10 years or so, you are a few inches taller.

A better plan is to accept the fact that you are never gonna be one of the tall guys and move on with life. Nobody else cares about your height half as much as you do. Get involved in jujitsu or kung-fu or something. Martial arts are a great confidence builder.

If I can give you one piece of advise, it is to avoid falling prey to "short-man syndrome". That is the tendency for some shorter than average guys to act like a-holes to compensate for their perceived inadequacy. I used to bar-tend and I had to deal with that crap constantly. Don't be that guy.

Shoes. Get shoes with a 1.5 thickness made especially for you at a cobbler- which is a shoe maker. Then wear long pants that go down to past your ankle.

You won't stop growing till you hit 21 so you have time to grow. However, since your parents are rather short and so are you at 17. I would think you only have a few more inches left to grow.
