Height increasing shoes to get on roller coasters?
when i go to amusement parks with my 8 year old cousin, she usually wears thick soled sneakers and sometimes stuffs the heels with toilet paper or tissues so that she can be tall enough to ride the rides….i actually used to do this when i was little also, but i would like some opinions on this topic
Im thinking of taking her to Six Flags Great Adventure after school’s out but im not sure if this is safe. (she wants to ride every rollercoaster)
thanks!

who hasnt done this? Ive done it before with my little sister and shes as skinny as they come. My theory is that a few inches doesnt make a difference yet they have to set the bar somewhere. As unfortunate as it is they set the height standards because they dont want people who are vertical challenged to risk flying off the ride. Its made more for the people who are like 38 inches for getting on the 48 inch rides and the 48 inch people from getting on the 54.
My son is 38 inches tall and theres no way Id want the park to allow him on there if isnt safe for him. Within 3 inches of the recommend height is fine in my book, because of alot of people take off their shoes at the ride anyways.
Well the height regulations are there for a reasons so are safeties on guns… but we only pay attention when something goes wrong.
It really depends on what coaster it is, but at SFGADV, it might not be safe on like Nitro or El Toro because its just a lap bar and she might fall out (VERY UNLIKELY). Those harnesses and lapbars are EXTREMELY hard to get out of, even when your small.
yea, do it, just hold on tight just in case xD
Dont do it! I know I sound like a party pooper but please don’t do it. there was this kid who was under hight on a roller coaster and died on it. The hight min. is there for a reason.
They don’t have minimum heights for no reason. They want as many people as possible to use their rides!
