My dad tells me to get shots to be taller
but i have enough and right now i’m 5’2 and 13.5

I strongly recommend that you don’t use any growth enhancing drugs to make yourself grow at a faster rate. If you’re only 13, you still have a lot of growing left. My good friend was 5’0” when he went into high school in freshman year, but now he’s 5’11”. Also, my brother was 5’4” until his senior year and he’s now 5’10” and a bodybuilder. You’re only at the beginning of puberty, so just let puberty work itself and you’ll grow at a healthy rate, and eventually will be taller than 5’2”.

At 13 5’2" is not considered short. Wait till you are 16 before you consider anything. It is a myth that caffiene affects growth. My sister began drinking a cup or two of coffee a day at 3 yrs. old. She is now 15 yrs. old and 5’7", which is average/tall for a girl.

I think your Dad is joking with you! Unless he’s talking about vitamin shots, which would help with nutrition only, not with height. If you wish to grow taller then try to have a nutritious diet, lots of whole grains, fruit, vegetables and exercise.
don’t drink any caffiene, it stops your growth. and eat/drink alot of calcium! like milk and yogurt, for example.

I hope your father isn’t serious… You’re right, you ARE still growing! Taking growth hormones can offer more negative side effects than whatever benefit a couple of extra inches will offer to you.
Pull out your baby book and find out how tall you were when you turned 2 years old – then double that size, and you’ll have a close estimate of your height when you’re done growing. I know it sounds like an old wives’ tale, but it’s worked for EVERYONE in my family – plus, it’s just fun!
There’s nothing wrong with being 13 and 5’2" – you’re almost as tall as I am, at 38!

The only way you can affect your height is by eating right. Your height is pretty much predetermined by your parents height. There is a formula you can plug some numbers into to find out what you might come close to growing to. By the way, it has been found recently that caffeine does not affect your height in any way.
Just eat a lot of nutritious food (high in protein) like red meat and cheese. Eat a lot of vegetable, drink your milk (at least 2 glasses) and engage yourself in sport. Get at least 8 hours of sleep and just wait for it. Your body is predisposed to a certain growth. It’s genetics and what you can do is to maximize it. Just add your parents height and add 2.5 inches to eat to see where you should fall. Example –> Dad’s height: 6’2" –> Mom’s height: 6’2" –> Your potential height: 6’4.5".

Dude, I’m in my late 20s and I’m still getting taller. Why do you need to be taller? Are things placed on really high shelves in your house/school? Three (and a half) years ago you were 10…10 dude. How fast do you think you are supposed to grow? All this bullcrap about wishing you were different is normal, and a huge waste of time looking back now. It’s important you stay positive and focus on what you have that’s good, man. I’m serious, I know it sounds corny. This is the time in your life when you learn these kinds of skills – that keep you strong and positive for the rest of your life. And go party somewhere…with lots of hot girls…
no shots. if there was an easy way to be taller don’t you think that some of the people that suffer from dwarfism would take the shots instead of the painful leg lenthening surgeries they endure? eat right, play a lot, and don’t worry about it. both of my brothers were the shortest kids in their 8th grade classes and shot up in high school, they are both over 6′ now. good luck, don’t worry. this is true for a lot of guys. and if you come from a short family, learn to rock it!
try drinking fresh milk and sleeping a lot…. but if your genes are not that tall… you won’t get that tall anyway… if you really want to be tall… try taking those shots…
