How do i gain muscles? Not seeing results. ?
Im 16 years old right now and weigh 145 or so pounds, im 6 feet tall. Ive been working out for like a year now 3x a week, but im not really seeing anything, only when i flex. Also in my bicep area my vein isnt showing or anything. The main areas i care about are shoulders, arms, and abs. I eat around 60g of protein a day and on days i work out, i drink these supplements with 30g of protein right after. Also i heard that working out pressures your spine and it causes you to stop growing taller and shrinks you is this true? Please dont give me some extreme diet, because i go to school and live a normal life so i cant do those lean chicken stuff and stay away from bad foods because i get them naturally in the lunch line.

It sounds like your body type is genetically programmed to be lean rather than muscular. So you may find it difficult to build a lot of muscle if you mean muscle such as you seen in the body builders. You may want to make sure you are getting more healthy protein in your diet, and with your weight lifting, focus on more weight and fewer reps. You may also want to change your workout routine. A 3 x a week routine is not really one that will build muscle. It is more a workout for strength and endurance. You may want to consider a split routine, working out 4 times a week – back, biceps and shoulders one day and chest, triceps and legs, the next day, then a day off, then repeat, then a day off, and so on. You should invest in a good weight lifting book for beginners. The Dummies series actually has quite a good one.
more weight!!! work out with heavier weight…. try creatine or a muscle milk product!
