How Do I Grow Taller?
I’m 11 years old but going to turn 12 in a couple of months. I’ve already got my period, it started about a year ago. People say that once you get it, you hardly grow taller anymore. I’m currently 5 feet, but I don’t want to stay this height for the rest of my life. I know family genes do influence my growth so here’s some info: My mom’s 5’3 and my dad is 5’6.
I do regular horse-riding and occasional basketball, soccer, swimming and rugby. I do move around a lot so I’m slim, but not ultra-thin.
What can I do to make myself grow taller? Any food, sport, exercise etc.?

Genetics rears its ugly head here to some degree, and you can’t restart the growth cycle once its stopped but the good news is that you’re of an age where you may still have quite a bit of growing left to do.
Nutrition is key to proper growth development. Particularly if you are female, ensure proper vitamin intake (iron, B, and D are essential, as is calcium for bone growth and density). If possible, keep the intake natural, but don’t forgo maintaining healthy levels even if this means making use of a reputable supplement.
Playing sport and physical exercise can help, especially low impact exercise like swimming and cycling which doesn’t compact joints and vertebrae, and inherently involves stretch poses. Working all body parts rather than focusing on one section of the body can also stimulate higher levels of hormones associated with growth.
You can also do exercises to help you grow taller such as hanging, the cat and leg stretch, and the bow down, but be sure to follow guidelines for use, both to maximize effect and minimize the risk of injury.
Also, try and ensure you’re getting adequate sleep.
well i am short as well and by just drinking your vitamins every day you will grow taller. i promise you that. i am starting to hear that i am growing taller a lot.good luck.
you are going to grow a little bit more, but since your parents are on the short side you aren’t going to get that tall. answer mine?

You have no real control over how tall you are going to be due to many factors such as your parents genetics as well as your own genetics, but this does not mean that you cant eat and exercise the correct way to increase the chance of your body growing beyond its potential. There is a great book to buy on the internet that gives you great tips and advice on how to increase your height and is well worth taking a look at. The link is here:- http://tiny.cc/grow-taller-book
You’ll probably be your mothers height if not shorter as your father isn’t very tall. You could use a height calculator/predictor there are a lot on the internet. There isn’t much you can do as it really comes down to your genetics. Sure diet plays a part but since you have the internet I doubt your malnourished lol.. but just make sure you’re getting a lot of calcium in your diet.
Doctors would only put you on a growth hormone treatment if you were way below the average height which you aren’t.
Anyway just be grateful you’re a girl and not a guy because it’s a lot harder as a guy being short.
