i dont like high heels. are there shoes that are suitable for prom and will still give me height?

   try a patent flat. if your dress is a neutral color, try a bright popping shade. very in this season.
   if its a brighter color, go to match or stick with a black or white.

   try a wedge heel. it will be easier to walk in but give u a little hight.

   Try a 2 to 2.5 inch heel. They are not to hard to walk in and you should be able to get used to them pretty quick or go with a 2.5 to 3 inch heel with a 0.5 inch platform underneath (note this will probably be a little more comfy).

   Also go for a narrow heel, it will be a little harder to walking in than a chunky heel, but the narrow heel will give the illusion of being higher and more elegant. Also get some that support the heel, these will help with walking versus a slide style

   Try lots of different shoes, styles and brands differ hugely in their comfort level, when you find a pair you like and that feels comfy in the shop wear them for a while before purchasing.
