I need to grow taller!!! HELP?
Im 5′11 and my mom is 5′6 and my dad is 6′1. Im 15 and a half years old and im asian. Im jumping 50 times in the air every weekday and 100 on weekends.(My bro told me that jumping increases height cuz it stretches out the limbs in the legs and knees or somethin like that). I get at least 8 hours of sleep everyday and I also run average per week. People say that i need to exercise more, but they never are specific to what kinds of exercises.
Can I grow taller or am I done? my mom said she stopped growing in junior high and my dad grew 3 inches in high school.Im the second son( i heard the second son is always taller). My bro is 5′10 wen he was a freshman but injured his knee and he stopped growing.(he’s a college fresh now)
So any help on if I can still grow? or if I’m stuck… Oh yeah… im a baseball pitcher and I need to grow. Please help
Can i still grow?
What can i do to ensure maximum growth?
Does jumping increase height too?
Im not drinking any caffeine( I make sure of it) and also I havent grown since about near the end of 7th grade

Unfortunately there aren’t really things you can do to try to increase your height. If i were you i wouldn’t waste any time jumping, if it even works at all it wouldn’t be any amount significant enough to really make a difference. You’re born with the genes you’re born with. Even if you’re the second son, it doesn’t matter. You’re stuck with the genes you have. Women stop growing sooner than men, so don’t worry that your mom stopped growing in junior high school. Your growth doesn’t have anything to do with knees, it’s genetic and you grow all over, not just at your knees.
You still have a lot of time to grow. Boys can keep growing until they’re 18 or 19. You’re only 15, so don’t worry about being done with growing. Don’t worry about it or consider when family members/any otehr person stopped growing or how tall they were at your age, every person is different (even siblings). You never know, you could have a growth spurt any time and grow a few inches in a few months.
To help you out and stay healthy, continue getting a lot of sleep (you could even try getting more than 8 hours, teens need more sleep than the average adult that needs 8 hours). Sounds like you exercise well and stay fit and active. Drink at least one glass of milk a day (it’s good for bone strength and growth and has a lot of vitamins) and make sure you’re eating enough fruits and veggies. There’s not secret to growing, you just have to let nature take its course.
a lot of time you can;t help your height. It’s in your genes and stuff.
I know that if u don’t smoke, drink coffee or a lot of caffeine, then u have a better chance of growing taller. Certain foods help too. Google which ones make u grow taller, better.
1, your brother is bullshitting you man, jumping does horse
2, if you’re drinking (alot) of coffee, or energy drinks, try cutting down
3, i’d say eat nutritiously, cause my mother fed me home-made baby food, and i’m a 6′1" 14-year-old
Drinking milk helps you grow while also building stronger bones. Try stretching daily. You probably can still grow. I doubt that jumping will help very much but it might increase your height about half a centimeter.
it’s mainly determined by genetics, but you COULD keep growing up until your early 20s. However, even if you don’t there’s nothing wrong with 5′11. that’s considered tall to a lot of people. and it’s average height for men. you could always ask your doctor about taking a growth hormone, but since you seem to be growing fine he may not let you.
Hi
Firstly, yes you can still grow.
There are some great ways that can help you to be taller.
here are some tips that were helpful for me to grow taller naturally:
sleep well
Getting a full night’s sleep each and every night is one of the best natural ways to grow taller..
Get about 8 hours of sleep each night and take whatever steps you need to ensure that your sleep is uninterrupted as much as you can.
Actually, the first 2 hours of sleep are when the most growth hormone is released into your system from your pituitary gland. Sleeping just a few hours can lower the amount of growth hormone your body produces, which is very bad for you.
Eating the right foods
You need to start eating foods that are rich in proteins.
for instance:
milk, fish, eggs, and lean meat are all forms of good protein.
Try also eating foods that have plenty of amino acids and vitamins.
On the other hand you must know about some of the biggest threats to your growth potential: caffeine, junk food and refined sugar.
Different exercises
Daily physical exercise is also an important part of growing. Swimming for example is really great.
In the water you have less gravity and that means more open bone areas for your body to fill them with new bone tissue. The free motion of swimming is very light on your body and greatly releases stress, which can be very bad to your growth potential. If you can swim 3-4 times a week it will be great.
Anyhow, don’t go out and buy those "magical peels" that are offered all over the place, they just don’t work and you will waste hundreds of dollars for nothing. Why not? Well because the only scientific way the body grows is through the release of our natural height increasing hormone called HGH in short.

All the best.
Your height is genetic. Your height does not derive from your parents. All the genes associated with height are pretty random. This is why two "little people" can have a 7′ tall child.
However, proper nutrition does help. This has been observed, since the average person 200 years ago would be considered short in our standards. Back then, it was much harder to get proper nutrition, as to today, it’s actually really easy.
Although it is genetic, it can be seen as how intelligence is genetic. If you had a potential very intelligent person get locked in a room with no one who talks to learn language, no one to teach them anything, just being given things to live, that person would grow to be extremely unintelligent (and this would be irreversible), even though their genes gave them the potential to be Einstein. Similar to height. This is why a lot of anorexic people are short.
You don’t need to be tall anyway. You may have another growth spurt at about 18 years old though.
Everyone saying exercise, sleep, drinking milk, stretching, etc… it’s all bullcrap. I mean, perhaps to a certain extent, but the only reason milk would help is nutrition (but even then, there’s a maximum potential by your genes). Not saying that regular exercise and sleep isn’t good for you, but it’s not going to make you taller. Give my answer a negative if you’d like; truth hurts sometimes doesn’t it? I wouldn’t suggest asking if you don’t want the real answer.
