Im 16 years old right now and weigh 145 or so pounds, im 6 feet tall. Ive been working out for like a year now 3x a week, but im not really seeing anything, only when i flex. Also in my bicep area my vein isnt showing or anything. The main areas i care about are shoulders, arms, and abs. I eat around 60g of protein a day and on days i work out, i drink these supplements with 30g of protein right after. Also i heard that working out pressures your spine and it causes you to stop growing taller and shrinks you is this true? Please dont give me some extreme diet, because i go to school and live a normal life so i cant do those lean chicken stuff and stay away from bad foods because i get them naturally in the lunch line.

Im 13, and Im tall, about 5 ‘7. But most people in my family have grown early, and most are average sized. Im an athlete, but I know how important it is to be big to be successful in sports. Chances are I’ll be 5 ‘10, 5 ‘11, maybe 6 foot. But in my sport, baseball, the best players mostly taller than that, or at least it couldn’t hurt to be taller.

I know I’m going to grow up to be average size, at least. But I’d love to be 6 ‘1 someday. Im very active, and my diet is so-so. My dad is a 5 ‘10, 5 ‘11, my mom is 5 ‘7, my sister is 5 ‘7, and my brother somehow shot up to almost 6 ‘3.

I’ve heard rumors of how to get taller, but I want to do it naturally, such as, a better diet, or specific exercises throughout my growing years. I’ve heard that stretching releases human growth hormones, so could that help me grow? I do yoga and poladies both once a week. Should I do more? What else can I do?

What can a 13 year old male do to grow taller during puberty?
(Like any change in their routine, etc.)
I also know that most of it is genetic and is passed down, but what can I change so I can make sure I don’t lose a cm/in. or two. Like if I should change anything to my diet or lifestyle. (ex: exercise, diet, etc.)

I just recently visited my doctor and he told me that if I diet and do exercise I can grow taller . I’m 5.1-5.2 in height , and weight like 160 and I’m 15 years old , So is what he is saying true? cause I really want to get taller .

Ok, when I was very young, I developed an unhealthy relationship with food. Meaning I LOVED it, and could never get enough. On top of that I have always been a picky eater, and loved ice cream and fast food. So naturally that caught up with me and I got fat. I didn’t even realize I was. I looked in the mirror and never saw a fat person, just not a thin one. But it showed in all of my pictures, and I became VERY self-conscious. I had always been a very out going person, and then I went through my fat stage, where I cried when I ate food, but I still couldn’t stop. This was all when I was in 5th grade. Thankfully, the summer after, I went on a diet, and lost 20 lbs all by myself! I felt happier, healthier, but I still wasn’t thin…..and my self esteem was shot, and I became very shy around new people.
I went back to eating like a fairly normal person, and as I grew taller I gained that weight with me, but I still am not thin.
And the worst part, is that I was surrounded by people who were skinnier then me. All my friends are tall and naturally thin. (Like a model.) and my brother is always making fun of me. So I played around with diets, eating healthier, and exercising, but I always went back to normal.
Then one day I liked this guy. And I knew he wouldn’t like me. I wasn’t pretty enough, or skinny enough for him. And so when I was around him I was always nervous, and VERY self conscious. And one day he called me ugly. He was sarcastic, and joking, I knew, but it hurt…and I decided that I would impress him, and all my skinny friends, so I started eating less and less.

Today, this is what I ate:
Breakfast: Special K 90 cal. bar
Lunch: PB & J French Toast Sand. (Rachael Ray Recipe)
Snack: Handful of Trail Mix

and that is it, and I have been eating like that for about a month now…and everyday its easier to eat less, and now I’m getting worried I have a problem. I never crave food anymore (unless it’s just sitting there right infront of me) and every time I eat something, all I think about is how fat I am….
I think about anorexia everyday…I feel worried by not eating, but I feel terrible when I do…

My mom, dad, and sister are all pretty tall and im 13 and am only a little over 5 foot. I don’t understand it im not super thin but im not very fat. Im just not tall and idk why. I’m 16. I’m a male. Obviously I’m from Vietnam. I’m 5 ft 6.5.I haven’t grown for 2 years due to overnight gaming and junk food. I am being curious if I can grow taller in the next 4 years, given that I do swimming, stretching, and a good diet.
