I’m 14 now but 15 in september. I am around 5 foot 3 which is considered quite tall in my family,but that’s because i’m from an east asian family (though my twin brother is tall and my dad).
Anyway, I used to be definitely above average in height in primary school and average in year 7, but now alot of people who were shorter than me are taller than me and my twin brother cameron was always shorter than me and since high school he shot up. Though, i guess he’s a guy and that happens but same with shorter girls who have shot up above me too.
I have been this height for a while now (I have a height chart on my wall), around half a year ago, i was growing veryy slowly like 2 cm every 2 or 3 months but now i’ve seemed to stay around this height pretty much since. I don’t think i’ve had a growth spurt or will have one or is it that i’m just growing VERYY slowly?
Also, I had my period before alot of my friends and developed before too, but my breasts are only a size 34A which is really small compared to ALOT of girls my age and some even in the year below. I’ve stayed this size for about a year or less as well.
I’m 41kg and I know this is quite light, but trust me, I eat alot. I think it’s because I have a high metabolism or i’m quite sporty. And I get around 8 or 7 hours sleep, but I do eat quite a healthy diet.

Is it possible i’m not growing to grow much taller than this? I am taller by a few cm than my mum, she’s about 5 foot 3 and my dad’s around 5 foot 10, my twin brother is 5 foot 7 and my other brother (17) is around 5 foot 6 or 7.

Is there any thing I could do to help my growing increase faster naturally? Or any other tips? Is there a way to check that you are still growing (Apart from height and breast size obviously, since these don’t seem to help-this is a bit stupid this question ha ha)
I know that girls don’t stop growing till around 18 but could it be different because i’m asian and to do with my parents genes?

P.S I heard junk food is supposed to stunt growth but I guess I eat quite balanced. Though, I like to eat sweets like most teens but I don’t eat them too regularly. And sorry and thanks for taking the time to read this 5 year long question. Aha :P

I am really really really short. I don’t know my actual height but when i compare myself to my other friends, i am quite short. I get picked on about it most of the time and now it’s really starting to annoy me. Are there any foods that i can eat to make me grow or any exercises that i can do? I don’t know whether it’s in my genes or what as my other siblings are quite short and my mum is quite short apart from my dad and my brother. Any advice will do thanks.

I’m 13 yrs old and 5’11 .. Every now and again I feel really unconfident and self conscience about my height. Because of my height and genes, I have a naturally thick frame and a curvy figure. Which I don’t like. I am too tall? Should I feel the way I do? I’m just concerned that guys won’t like me in the future cause my doc says i’ll grow another inch. Thanks!

1. eat healthy as always (i stay away from junk food and soda exc.)
2. I drink loads of milk !! (lots of calcium in it.)
3. I do stretch-exercises every day for 15 minutes, (i will play basketball now and then on the summer)
4. I have the best posture ever! the best one in my family, no one in my family has a good posture… so that’s a BIG plus for me.
5. I sleep alot, 8-9 hours a day, sometimes take naps for 30 min a day.

So, i do these things and i hope they pay off. I’m gonna try this out all the way to summer, and then see if i have changed.

Also: If we go deeper in this…
My parents never had a good lifestyle and diet when they were young, so they never got good vitamins in their body. Who knows what height-hormones was hiding behind those bodies. but I on the other hand have a good lifestyle so far. I do my best and work my *** off to get the best results.

ooh, err i’m 5’9 currently

I am am 13 years old and im 5ft 2in. I am the tallest in my family so its probably genetic. I exercise alot playing basketball. But is there a way that i could fight the genes and grow taller naturally? like what to eat and when to eat. stretches, drills?

I’m 16, turning 17 in April and i’m 5"6
I’m thinking of majorly switching my lifestyle up cos i feel like i can still grow alot more cos my dad is 5"5 and so is my mom, but males on my mom’s side are GIANTS.
And my brother, who took most of my mom’s genes, just turned 15 this month and is 5"5! so he’s definitely gonna be tall when he’s around my age lol.
Well i have a high metabolism, I dont always smoke, but occasionally, I drink occasionally too, i never sleep early, i on average get like 4 or 5 hours of sleep everyday, I play basketball, but only once a week, during gym class in school, and i have really long legs but a short torso, i wear size 32 length trousers (and i’m a boy btw, i’m aware that most girls have naturally long legs) and really long hands(i can stand up straight and touch the top of my knee caps easily lol)

So this is my plan

I will make my sleep pattern better, having at least 8-9 hours of sleep each day, even on weekends.
I will have all 3 aquare meals each day, but what times will it be best for me to have those meals so that the nutrients will help me achieve maximum growth? Also, what kind of meals should i have? more protein? more carbs ? i dont know lol, please tell me

I will stop smoking, i might have a ciggarrete maybe every once in like a month or something, when i go to parties or something

I’m gonna become an avid swimmer as i hear swimming helps so i’ll go swimming for about an hour at least 5 times a week. What times would be most effective for me to swim to achieve maximum growth? p.s the swimming pool closes at 8 on weekdays and at 6 on weekends. And what strokes should i do to achieve maximum height, HGH secretion and all that?

And my friends will obviously tease me about my height like they did last year (7th grade.)

i have really bad height genes, my dad’s medium height(5′ 9") and my mom’s really short(4′ 9") i think she used to be a bit taller. anyway, my brother’s the tallest(5′ 8") and all my sisters range from 5′ 0" to 5′ 2". im currently 14 and only five feet. i know ur height mostly depends on genetics and since that sucks for me, is there any way i can grow taller? like any exercises(not too many, i don’t want to stunt my growth) or any foods with specific nutrients? lemme know! thx!!

Hey, I’m a 17 year old asian guy who’s 6′ tall. My ideal height is 6’4", but I’m not certain whether I can reach that height…according to my doctor, I’ve got an inch or two left in regular growth. She said that guys don’t stop growing till 21, or when they start shaving the facial hair on their cheeks. My cheeks are still smooth, so I guess my growth plates are still open, though I’d need a test to confirm that. According to this site, http://www.betaller.com/growing-taller.htm , item #5 apparently stimulates your body to produce more human growth hormone naturally. Is this true? Does such a stimulator really exist? I asked my doctor about it, and she discouraged any form of human growth hormone, whether directly taken or indirectly through a stimulator. But then again, she’s an old school sort of doctor – what she knows is rock solid, but she won’t really touch the newer stuff. If she’s right, apparently it’s just not in my asian genes to get to 6’4" without some sort of enhancer, and that foriegn human growth hormone – whether directly taken or indirectly with a stimulator – always has some sort of possible negative side effects (like overgrowth of your bones). I read that such side effects definitely do exist with taking human growth hormone directly, but I also read that no negative side effects exist with stimulators. I am 17 nearly 18, do males stop growing at 21? I am 5ft 6 inches, and my mum is 5 ft 1, my dad is 6ft 6. My borther 20 is almost the size of my dad. Has he finished growing. I have always wanted to be bigger and taller, to intimidate others, as i have always been picked on becuase of my weight and height. I eat healthily, i exercise and dont really change. Ok. So I was wondering if eating white rice every day of the week affects your height? I am a 15 year old male (turned 15 two days ago), and I’m of Asian background. Ever since I was 12, and was told by a relative that white rice is completely stripped of nutrients during the processing stage, I’ve been lobbying for my parents to switch to brown rice. We did try that for a month starting from my 12th birthday, but then, one day, my mom stopped making it (my diet contains mostly rice with some side dishes – eg. meat or veggies), and abruptly switched back to white rice. When I asked her why she did that, she gave me a reply that I shouldn’t be so selfish and to think of other people as well. So, I naturally assumed that it was my grandparents who complained to her. Since they are elderly, I didn’t act like I cared. However, now that I’m fifteen and passed the major height-enhancing stage of life (12-15), I am barely 168 cm (around 5 feet 6 inches). My goal is to at least grow to be 180 cm. In my school, i’m the shortest in all my classes (including girls), and my parents keep on remarking on how tall "the handsome boy walking down the street is". My mom is 152 cm tall, and my dad 173 cm, but I found out that my genes allow me to have the potiential to reach 181 cm (All my cousins on my dad’s side are over 180 cm). But just yesterday, after coming home from a gym class and being so frustrated of my short stature (we played basketball), I once again, asked my grandfather, (who’d been trying to help me grow taller) why he had complained about the white rice and potienitally stunt my growth. He then told me that it was my sister (who is 5 years younger than me) who was the one that complained- everyone else in the family was OK with it. So now I’m majorly pissed at my sister, because if it wasn’t for her big mouth (she is honestly the most picky eater I’ve ever met), then I would have gotten the nutrients that I should have during the most crucial stages of my growing life. After we had a row (my sister and I), it was agreed that I was cooked a seperate serving of brown rice, starting tonight. However, my question is, will this do any good, since I’m already 15? (I’ve been in sports since I was little, so I know it was the food that I ate from 12-15 which affected my height). Again, my goal is 180 cm. Right now, I seriously want to punch my sister out, because it was her who caused me to have to endure this torture! And I really do want to be tall! (PS. I usually eat rice for both breakfast and dinner, with rice filling most of my bowl and a bit of meat and veggies)
Excuse me? Weight loss? I only weigh 105 lbs!
