One’s height might usually depend on their genes, but I know that lifestyle choices can affect one’s growth spurt as well. I’m 15 this year and i’m 5′10
My mum and dad aren’t that tall. I play basketball all the time i know genes are important but i don’t care i still wanna grow taller. At least 6 Ft would be the best. I drink Milk everyday weekdays before i go to school but sometimes i skip on weekends. Please please advice me what should i do. I don’t always get 8 hours of sleep because of school and homework. Most of the time 6 hours++ sometimes even lesser than that when i’m stressed out.
I am a 16 year old female who is about 5"6 ( roughly 1.67m ) and i desperately want to grow! I want to do runway modeling professionally but my height is in the way and i hope i can grow a inch or two because most runway models are 5"8 and over. Please help in whatever way you can but please don’t tell me its in the genes. My dad is 5"8, mum is 5"3 and my brother is 6" tall ( 27 years old ). Do you guys think that theres a fair chance that i can still grow to about 5"8?
Ill be 16 this year and within the last year I havent grown one millimeter!

Do not say the following:
1) change your genes
2) stretch yourself
3) take growth pills
4) anytype of surgery
5) clothing changes or heels…as they will not make me grow
and anything of the sort

i was just wondering if there were any SAFE ways to effectively grow a bit taller during teen years… i am really into basketball, and was wondering how many of the stars are so tall (dont tell me that it was ALL because of genes, that cant be right). for example, a bball player on our school team grew nearly 4 inches between his junior and senior years… he was like 6′4" his senior year.

I’m 16 right now but I’ll be 17 in a month. I’m only 5′4 but I’m really hoping to grow a few inches or at least one or two inches! My mother is very tall, she’s 5′9 or 5′10 and I think my dad is pretty average and he’s around 5′8 or 5′7 I think so I’m not sure if it’s in my genes to be as tall as them.

My ideal height is 5′6 and yes I know I have a couple years left to grow but compared to my friends who are my age they’re at least 5′4. Looking at my genes (mother is 4′10 and father is 5′8) I don’t think I’ll grow very tall. My father says that we have people in our family that are 6′2 so … crossing my fingers.

my male cousin is fifteen years old and he’s 5′2". he’s growing very slowly and was told that based on genetics only, his estimated height would be 5′4"-5′5". I know that 70% of your heigh is based on your genes, and 30% is based on nutrition, exercise, etc. but how can you tap into that 30% and grow taller than your estimated height.

I am 17 yrs old but i turn 18 in july i think i have alot more growing left in me becuase i look alot younger then kids in my grade and i only need to shauve my chin about 2 times a week. Plz dont relpy if all ur gona say is ur done growing or its all due to genes i want something i can work with

I’m actually an average height for my age, maybe even a little bit taller. I’m 14 and 5′5 (168 cm). I actually measure myself pretty often and I believe I haven’t been growing any taller for like, the last half a year. I want to be very tall. Not like, freaky tall… but a little taller than average, and 5′5 won’t cut it!
