Grow Taller 4 Idiots

The Secret To Growing Taller By 3 Inches Or More In Just 6 Weeks! Regardless Of Your Age! You Can Still Increase Your Height, Even If You have Stopped Growing!  Read more!

So I’m a 16 yr old guy and I’m 6 foot 9. I don’t like being so tall, everywhere I go a lot of people stare at me and I think I’m the tallest guy in my entire school. My body looks fine and is in proportion. There is nothing wrong with my skull or anything like that. I don’t have pain anywhere, i’m not weak, and I can work out with no problem. I have low blood pressure and my kidneys are functioning very well. I weight 203 lbs and that is normal weight. So I don’t think I have gigantism. I’m currently playing basketball and working out, do you think that is what is causing it? I never take steroids. Genetics probably doesn’t have anything to do with it cuz my father is 5 foot 9, my mother is 5 foot 6, my sister is 5 foot 7, and my brother is 5 foot 8. Am I just about done growing or is there still more inches to come? Is there anything I can do to either make myself shorter or stop my growth if I’m still growing?? I want to do it naturally, not by medicine or drugs. And do you girls like tall guys?

First off, I think "everybody" knows it’s genetics. No need to point it out any more than usual.
Well, I’m a girl. I’m in 8th grade, got my period in 5th. My doctor told me I probably would never grow. BOY was she wrong! I’m so happy I’m growing! Just a few weeks ago, my feet got bigger by a full shoe size. Then I grew a bit taller, and I still am. I drink a lot of milk every day now, and am trying my best to eat healthier. My school makes me exercise super hard and I love just running/playing sports or whatnot everyday anyway! I also love stretching, so I also do that too. I’m really getting good sleep in now also. I sleep at 8 and wake up at about 5:30 naturally. So 9 and a half hours of sleep. You think there’s any more (haha, as if I don’t have enough!) ways to increase my potential? When my mom was younger, she had a size 8. She’s 5’5". My feet are almost size 9 and a half now. So maybe that means I’ll grow taller than her? I mean, my older brother grew taller than my dad. My older sister, I think, maybe neglected what she did/does since she’s 18 and only 5’2" and a half, and I’m just growing haha. For my race my family is pretty tall. Sooo.. you think there would be any more I can do or am I doing just fine? Thanks!

I’m fourteen and just about 5’2. As a girl, I went through puberty at 11. I really want to grow taller, as I’m one of the shortest girls in my class.. Tell me what is possible… My mom says I may not grow much taller. I want to make the best of it. Perhaps at least 5’2. What can I eat or drink? Are vitamin supplements helpful? If so, which ones?
Genetics: My parents are pretty short. My dad’s only 5’6 and my mom’s only 5’3

Well I turned seventeen 3 months ago, and my feet are 11-11 1/2 inches, but I’m 5’6". And i haven’t had good habits like working out and sleep. I grew an inch in height about a year ago. thing is I don’t know much about genetics and how tall my parents are because I’m adopted. Will I grow taller? I hear people grow into their shoe size. Will changing my lifestyle, like getting more sleep, excercise and eating healthy help me get taller?

Thank you.

I am 5.6. I hate it. I hate being called "Shortie". Should I do suicide and kill myself?

I didn’t choose how I was to be born. So it’s not fair. But people are not fair. So while killing myself should I try to take as many tall people as possible LOL

Why Don’t Short Men Just Kill Themselves? (5109 hits)

Submitted by Vermin 2007-01-05

Whenever I see a short man I shake my head with sadness and pity. Short men are unattractive inferior specimens and women – other than fat and ugly ones (luckily for the shrimps there is no shortage of those) don’t want to be with them . At 6’1 I am not a huge man but at least I am not a runty dwarf, a pale imitation of masculinity like a man who is 5’7. I am sorry to tell you this but if you are a man and any shorter than 5’10 your genetics are weak and your bloodline should die out.

Honestly, what kind of man are you if you only grow to 5’5 or 5’6? I’ll tell you what kind: you are not a man at all.

Ever hear parents bragging about how tall their son is? Yup, you all have. How about bragging about how short they are? Thought not. This is also why women are attracted to tall men; not only do they not want the shame of a short husband, they especially don’t want the shame of having short sons. All the short men I know are ashamed of their height and as well they should be. They are an embarrassment to their family and their species.

Tallness is equated to athletisism, masculinity, power, good looks and high social standing. Tall men are more powerful than short men, both physically and in the work place. On average we earn more money and have the upper echelon jobs. Women are naturally attracted to our power and masculinity.

Believe it or not we are also smarter as well. Think I am making this up?……………

I’m currently 5’9
I’m 17 and 2 months ( just turned 17 ) – male – and i wanna reach 6′ or higher.
my parents are normal, or idk. mom is 5’2 and dad’s 5’6. i know i have gone through their height already but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible.
My mother’s family is tall, not my father’s.
i hear lots of people say "it’s all in your genes, if your parents are short then you probably will too", well get this- it’s not ONLY genes, it’s 60% genetics and 40% diet/health.
1. eat healthy as always (i stay away from junk food and soda exc.)
2. I drink loads of milk !! (lots of calcium in it.)
3. I do stretch-exercises every day for 15 minutes, (i will play basketball now and then on the summer)
4. I have the best posture ever! the best one in my family, no one in my family has a good posture… so that’s a BIG plus for me.
5. I sleep alot, 8-9 hours a day, sometimes take naps for 30 min a day.

So, i do these things and i hope they pay off. I’m gonna try this out all the way to summer, and then see if i have changed.

Also: If we go deeper in this…
My parents never had a good lifestyle and diet when they were young, so they never got good vitamins in their body. Who knows what height-hormones was hiding behind those bodies. but I on the other hand have a good lifestyle so far. I do my best and work my *** off to get the best results.

Guys, please be gentle with your comment. I respect every opinion you give cos i know Only Pros are here :)

ooh, err i’m 5’9 currently

This is not a racist or stereotypical question at all! I’m just wondering why there are a lot more black people playing in the NBA than white people. I know there are a lot of good white players (Blake Griffin, Dirk, Ginobil, etc.) But there just seems to be a lot more black players than white. Is it because of genetics? Are they naturally taller or stronger? Is it because a lot of black people grow up in low income neighborhoods and they have nothing else to do but play basketball. Again, this is not trying to be stereotypical or racist. I just want to know why there are a lot more black players than white.

Or are you going to tell me that it’s not based on diet and it’s on genetics? i’m a 15 year old female and i want to grow really bad! i read in a few articles that asians are short because their diets are typically grains. and when they arrive at america , their diets change so that is why you see 6’5 tall asians walking around these days!! is this true? would it work? or is it just crazy? what happens when i eat more protein then i need?

im 13 and i find myself pretty short i want to be taller people say running and exercise helps but other people say it counts on genetics which makes me sad cause my moms not that tall without her high heels and i dont wanna wear high heels to be tall
sorry about my grammer and spelling im to lazy to check it.

Im just wondering?
or does it all depend on genetics?
When i was 12 i used to run 2km everyday up a steep hill
and dont stop, because thats what our dad made us do every single day,im not sure why?but it sucked.

I’m 14 and only 4’11.
Will I still grow taller and how tall do you think I would be?
What can help make me grow taller?
Also, PLEASE DON’T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT GENETICS.
I already know that.
Do you know anyone who was short like me then turned out to be tall?

Thanks!

I know that height is all genetics and stuff but c’mon exercise does help a person to grow… a potato couch will not grow as much as an active person… so i was wondering if therez any special exercises which i can do to get taller… recently my body has become broad… so i wanna get taller ‘coz i don’t myself lookin 2 bulky… thnx

LOL! Nice, Rain. Not enormous. But just reach my potential :)

I know genetics play a big part in height, and so does exercise and eating a balanced diet. What foods exactly should I eat daily and what exercises should I do? And what other important things are there when it comes to growing taller?

Seriously…anything that can help me grow besides genetics?
I’m only 5’1 ft and 14 years old =[
No high heels either, I hate wearing em.

I just turned 18, and i’m standing at 5’10 with shoes, i hit the gym 6 days a week, eat an extremely healthy and balanced diet, ive packed on 30 pounds of muscle in the last year,, i heard that men stop growing taller until they hit 23, by the sound of my lifestyle, do i still have a chance to break the 6’1 mark lol? just wondering
I know genetics play a huge role in height, but i have both short and very tall people in my family,, i’m already taller than both of my parents. just throwing it out there

Hi! I’m 16 and im 5"0. My parents are 5"1 and 5"3. i was wondering what i can do to grow. I’m well aware that its in the genes….but what can i do with genetics set aside?

i have really bad height genes, my dad’s medium height(5′ 9") and my mom’s really short(4′ 9") i think she used to be a bit taller. anyway, my brother’s the tallest(5′ 8") and all my sisters range from 5′ 0" to 5′ 2". im currently 14 and only five feet. i know ur height mostly depends on genetics and since that sucks for me, is there any way i can grow taller? like any exercises(not too many, i don’t want to stunt my growth) or any foods with specific nutrients? lemme know! thx!!

i’m only 18 and they said you won’t stop growing until your 21-25. i haven’t grown since i left the eight grade. now i’m in college. will i continue to grow? and i know it has to deal with genetics but are there any ways from the environment that could help me grow taller or to my natural height? please give me some backup

…..instead of saying that gender is simply a social contruct?

I think feminists look at Gender it too simply. I think what dictates your Gender behavior is rooted in your genetics during birth before social construction happens. For instance, everyone is genetically born with at least 5 qualities. 1), whether your born alpha or beta in behavior. 2) body type. 3) your physical sex. 4) your brain sex, 5) your sexuality (which is still under debate scientifically).

Lets say, at birth, a guy is genetically born:
1) very beta (beta’s are passive in nature).
2) body will grow very short, thin, has a high voice (opposite of tall, naturally thick build, low deep voice)
3) Sex is male (& puberty forms the male body frame, & other male body characteristics)
4) heterosexual (sexually attracted to females)
5) brain sex is male (which sex you naturally see yourself as similar to before social construction)

As this male grows, what you have is a straight male with a passive behavior with a dainty body who feels similar to those of male genetic characteristics.

THE POINT:
- Outside of society (outside of society’s social gender constructions), he is simply a male with this genetic makeup. If he never met a single human being before, he would know nothing of what modern american society expects "men" and "women" to "act." He will have no concept of "male" and "female".

- In society , there will be a series of Social Gender Constructions that he will willingly choose to be, which is absolutly dictated by his genetics. For instance:

a) He sexually desires women. Therefore he will naturally choose to try to get womens attention. If women ignore him, and he sees women generally desiring guys who dress and act a certain way, he will choose to behave accordingly to womens likings that fits more closely to who he is as a person.

b) He is of male sex. Especially as puberty takes place, it will be blatantly obvious that he is not of the female sex. And females and males will see this as well. Society will seperate guys and girls in ways like using restrooms. He will follow those rules because he wants girls to know he is male because he likes girls and is competing against other guys to get the girls he wants.

c) Brain sex is male. He wants his male peers to know he’s male by what he wears, how he acts, because he identifies with them as a male human being, not the male social construct. He sees, as a social contruct, males wearing certain clothes and having certain behaviors, so he does the same.

d) He’s very beta. He will always be the follower, be submissive, and let the alpha’s control him. If the alpha’s wear certain clothes and act in certain ways to show their dominance, the beta’s like him will do the opposite.

e) Frail body. He will not choose to play rough sports like the jocks, or become a hard core tough guy police man. He will more likely fit in the crowd that he feels more comfortable with, possibly the emo boy crowd where guys are more dainty and possibly more accepting into their crowd than the jock crowd who pick on the small. The crowd he chooses dress and act in certain ways that he will pick up.

None of this is possible without the genetics being in place first.

Thoughts?
icevixen – Your thought processes are human like any one else. What I mean by brain sex is when you see a group of girls, and a group of guys, your going to see yourself as being more similar to the girls than the guys. It might be mostly physically, part emotionally, or all physically, but you’ll see what sex your more similar to you than others. If your brain sex was male, you’d feel similar to the guys even though your in a female body. Thats the circumstance of the transexual.
Is – Yeah this is about the 800th book I’m writing. This new one will be sold on our new space station.
Ms Bulge – Your probably just joking, but just in case: It takes an alpha personality with a masculine body type to even consider body building. That was ingrained in your genes from the beginning. Everything else you choose to do afterwards is a complete effect from your genetics, as working with social constructions you experienced from peers who body build.
Zzz – Just want to clarify that ofcourse sexual orientation and gender are different issues. I never said they were the same. Everything I mentioned is about how your genes influences how your going to be socially gender constructed.
Four-Eyed Spy – False. You miss understand what alpha and beta means. Alpha is one who controls. Beta is one who follows. On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being 100% beta, 10 being 100% alpha, people fall somewhere on that scale. Evidence is when you look at babies and small children playing together, you will already see your control freaks, and your passive followers. Doing rough sports doesn’t make you alpha or beta. You can be beta and love playing sports. Being alpha or beta has nothing to do with body type either. Your confusing the difference.
Deity Of Peace – (RESPONSE PART 1) "It sounds to me like you’re describing the current dilemmas you’re facing within your own life." Actually, no. If I were a Christian writing about what I learned about Buddhism, would that mean I’m really writing about how I’m actually a Buddhist in real life? Ofcourse not. I’m simply writing about what I’ve mentally recorded in life while studying peoples lives. I think learning about people and society is important to growth in knowledge.
Deity of Peace – (RESPONSE PART 2) I understand exactly what your saying, and it is actually apart of my overall point. My point is, there are two misconceptions. One from Feminism, & One from ignorant society.
-Ignorant Society Says: that if a girl chooses to wear pink, it’s because she’s genetically born to choose that.
-Feminism Says: a girl chooses pink because she is socially constructed to do so.
-My Point, the Truth Of The Matter: Is, the girl will choose what ever color society says that defines you as a girl, because genetically, she is of the female sex, and has desires of a heterosexual female. So foe example if men like girls who wear pink, and if other girl wear pink to compete against other girls to attract men, she will wear pink. Sexuality and physical sex are only two parts out of many, that effects this. So, point is, genetics is the driving force behind how she will allow herself to be socially constructed.
Ethernaut_1089 – Hahahaha.

I am SO tired of being short all the time (I’m really short for my age) and everyone else seems to be growing faster than me, even the people who used to be really short. Is there any possible way to grow faster, or is it just based on genetics?
i hope i get a growth spurt this year…

Just wondering is it possible to want to grow taller and make yourself grow taller. Kind of a weird question. Also, are happier people taller then sad people. And, are people who have no stress in their lives generally taller? Or is it all genetics just wondering…

So school starting again,in a few weeks. And I am kind of nervous. And I dont want to feel strange,Because I am very appropriate. When some girls come to school with a sweater jeans and no bra on purpose on casual days.I want to feel femine without looking like i am 100 and desperate.I am a bit different then them and thats why i am not that out there, its just not that i am not like that. But i am like 4 inches taller than male students, and i have a more women like body.Ive always been the tall one,but this year the difference shows alot because everyone has grown up a bit.So my question are these,

How can I jazz up a uniform?
Ive never really worn skirts in school,So How can i feel comfortable in them?
How can I accesories?
What can I do refering to makeup?Heres me:http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll217/InkChanted/untitled3.jpg
PS:dont make fun of the lips lol,I have no cure for genetics lol, they are that shade or rouge naturally

I’m 5’3 and I’m sick of being short! I really don’t believe growing is up to genetics because my teacher is taller than her dad and mom and grandparents from both sides! (According to her)

Oh I’m turning 15 soon does that lower my risk of having a growth spurt?
