Ok, so I think I probably have ED NOS, or eating disorder not otherwise specified because I’m not underweight (13 year old girl, 5 feet tall exactly, and 98-99 pounds, though I usually just say that I’m about 100 pounds), and I have never thrown up or taken diuretics.

I’ve been restricting my calorie intakes for a while, though. Three or so month ago, I was only eating 700-800 calories a day for about a month. I realized that was really unhealthy for me, though, so I increased my calorie intake to 1200-1400 calories a day, and I’ve been eating that much for about a month and a half.

I think my body may still be in "starvation mode," and that my metabolism is still messed up, because a lot of people say teens naturally need more calories because they’re still growing, and I believe that because I haven’t had my period in three months (which is one symptom of anorexia). I want to increase my calories so I don’t gain weight, though; most anorexics trying to recover need to gain weight, but I’m happy with the weight I’m currently at.

So far, I’m planning on eating more calories through healthy foods, like apples. I think apples are really good, because they are high in fiber and have lots of water in them, which will help my digestive system and help me "go to the bathroom." Is this a good tactic? Any other advice on how to eat more to fix my metabolism without gaining TOO MUCH weight?

Also, how long will I take? I know it’s a slow and delicate process, because most people go back to their eating disorder ways after their first "recovery," but I really want to get my metabolism back to normal, and also get my menstrual cycle back; I’m pretty sure I want to have some children in the future, and I don’t want to ruin that oppurtunity because of my stupid decision as a teenager.

I’m 13 years old and I’m 5’8”.I play basketball and I stretch alot also I et healthy foods. I was wondering what can I do to grow taller and what stunts growth at a Young Age?

Did vigorous exercise every single day ate healthy foods and slept early and did a lot of stretching and swimming?

I am aware that your height is mainly based on genetics, however I’m 13 at the height of 4’11.5 in and I haven’t really hit a growth spurt yet. My parents are 5’4 and 5’11…

When i was 14 I grew like 4 inches. Then when I entered high school, I stopped growing. I’m stuck at 5’5. I exercise and each healthy foods, including meat and fruits yet I cannot grow taller. Will I grow taller? I DON’T WANT TO STAY THIS SHORT FOR A GUY.

Current weight and height: 5’1 145lb.
My doctor said she guessed I will grow to be anywhere between 5’5 and 5’7. And she said a good weight for me, is anywhere between 125 and 135lb. I want to weigh 130lb. Well anyway, I wanted to know of some good, healthy foods that would help me grow taller and lose weight. I’d also like to hear of some good exersice tips/strategies/methods. My goal is to weigh 130lb. and be at least a few inches taller by July, when I go to the beach. Thank you!
