I heard that once u start exercising your muscles tighten and people dont grow anymore.. I am really short and my age is 14 .. my height is 4’11 .. so I need to grow atleast 4 more inchs soo if i exercise wont i grow anymore ? Are the rumours true ??

hi, im a 16 years old, (almost 17) male.
im 6feet tall, and weigh about 145 pounds. yes i am very skinny.
i abruptly grew, about 3 inches or so, for about a year, and my height seems to have reached its limit.
my body is rather boylike. i dont have broad shoulders or thick arms, and no "adult" muscles are to be seen in my body.

my question is, do muscles naturally grow during puberty? im a late bloomer, and other than my height, voice and pubic hair, nothing else in my body resembles that of an adult. will this have any effect?

I know that a protein powder helps you gain muscle, and thus speeds up your metabolism.

But i was wondering if it also makes you grow taller by making your muscles lean and long? or is it possible?

Hello. i recently turned 17, am around 140lb and 5’11 feet tall.

I do have a fair bit of knowledge on this subject area, but obviously i’m not a master, so i just want to ask a few questions to fil in the gaps so i can make the most of my work outs and get bigger (which is obviously my gain :3)

1.I drank 2 scoups of maximuscle progain for 6 weeks and gained 4 kilos, but it was all around my stomach. REAALLLY flabby stuff there haha. presumeably the carbs had done that. I was working out 3 times a week while taking the supplement. I want to know that if i were to take maximuscle proMAX instead..which has barely any carbs and is mostly protein…would i still gain weight but not around my tummy?

2.I’v been at a great gym for nearly 4 months and do see some progress. My muscles appear more defined, but i swear i’m not ‘bigger’. It makes no sense. i lift the heaviest weight i can and do chest and arms one day – back and shoulders the second – and legs on third. so its all even ish. why arent i getting bigger? (i eat a lot, not as though i’m purposely trying to force feed myself though)

3.my bones are naturally thin. so looking at my arms for example, yes you can see a clear defined bicep etc, but the arm itself is relatively small. will keeping to a hard routine sort of make my bones grow. maybe not grow..but my arms appear bigger? (sorry to make it awkward)

if anyone could help me on ANY of the issues i’d be grateful!

Im 14 and the one of the weakest guys in my school at this moment. Although my family has extremely strong guys. Is it possible that I will be like my family and that the strength/muscles grow naturally as I age? Everyone seems so big and tall compared to me (Im 5’3).

I’m pretty sure I am, I just want some other opinions.
I was born June 1994 making me 13 years old. I’m a little over 5’2 and about 108 pounds. It just seems like there are soooo many naturally thin people these days, am I normal? Cuz some of my friends are taller than me and weigh 90 or less (yea that is a little scary but still). I did this earlier but now I’ve grown…so yeah.
Oh yeah btw my muscles stick out sometimes so im pretty strong i guess…and I know muscle weighs more than fat if that helps. Is there some sort of site that will calculate ur average weight based on that?

How tall do you think if… I am 13 and 4 mounths old, i am 5’9" (haha i measured it right), and my parents are both 5’11". My Mom’s Dad is 6’6" also, and i have his head shape, and his bone structure and his personality. But i have my Dad’s muscles and his athletic body. How tall do you think i will get up to, and do you think i will be tall? (also i havent had any major growth-spurts, just growing 1/100 of a centimeter every day, hahaha)

Oh also, My Dad’s Dad is 5’10" and My Dad’s Mom is 5’4", My Mom’s Mom is 5’2", and My Mom’s Dad is 6’6". I have a naturally athletic body, but my Mom had asthma, so i have severe asthma. My Dad was in college football also.

OK, so I’m 14, five foot 7 and weigh 126 lb and i started to work out two weeks ago but I stopped about two days ago. I did this because i have heard so many story’s of kids who work out when their young and then lifting stuns their growth which leads to a person to stop growing but I’m not sure if thats true. My doctor said that I will grow to be about 5 foot 10 based on statistics. some people told me that working out will make your muscles bigger therefor making it difficult for your bones to stretch which makes you grow and that if i were going to be 5 foot 10 ill only be 5 foot 8 or 9 if i work out. My wrestling Couch told me that is a myth and that you will grow taller if you work out because of an increased testosterone level. I don’t do squats with weight on my back, dead lifts because they stun growth . The exercises i do are
upright rows,-150lb 3sets 12 reps
d-bell and barbell curls,-30 per arm 4sets 10 reps
bi curls,-30lb 3 sets 12 reps
flat bench,-100lb 5 sets 10-12 reps
calf raises,- 100lb 4 sets 30 reps
military press,-50lb 3 sets 8-10 reps
dips,-body dips 3 sets 8-10 reps
side and front lateral raises,-15-20lb 3 sets 10 reps
reverse curls, -25lb 5 sets 15 reps
pull downs, -70lb 4 sets 12 reps
pull ups-body only 3 sets 10-15 reps
and upside down sit ups 3 sets 30 reps
I do all these exercises in 4 days of the week by splitting them up in to categories .
I eat three meals every day and some times a little more, a lot of protein. I have seen great results and their still coming. . My plan is to stop and only go like once a week and then continue 4 days a week in the beginning of 11th or 12th grade, I am currently in the middle of 9th grade let me know if you agree with me or another opinion of what i should do.If you guys think that i should stop working out let me know and why and if not let me know if there are any exercises you guys see in my list that are bad for the spine or that stun growth, i really want to get at least 5 foot 9. If i get taller that means i naturally will get bigger muscles Because but only if i eat correctly as i am now. Any additional info will be very appreciated, sorry this was so long by the way.

Okay, I’m fourteen, but I look eleven or twelve. So here’s what I look like/wear: My face isn’t really a "baby face" because it doesn’t have that extra fat on it, but it’s not fully defined yet. I have a little acne, but as stupid as this sounds, I want a LITTLE because it will make me look older. I shave, but I’m planning on not doing it for a little bit so I will have some facial hair. I spike my hair up in the front only. I’m gaunt and short. I usually wear a regular pair of shorts a little past my knees. I wear black Nike shoes (not basketball ones). My voice is going through that awkward stage of it cracking lol. I’m naturally tan. My legs aren’t fat, but they aren’t little twigs either. There’s a little bit of leg hair, but not like a grown man’s legs. I wear ankle cut socks. So how can I look taller and older? I don’t want to look older than 14, I just want to look my actual age. BTW, people are always surprised about my age.

I am 15 years old and 1.77cm tall.
Last two years I had had a slower growing in height(when i was 13 i was 1.71cm).I guess that this has happened cause i have builded some muscles(i mean not extreme but normal muscles) but i still have long arms and legs.I am a basketball player so i want to get taller at least 1.90cm.Is this possible to happen in a period of 3 years?

After struggling with jaw, shoulder and knee pain for a short while ( predominantly on the right side) I began seeing a chiropractor who suspected I had a leg length issue and took an x-ray, he then informed me that my right leg was shorter by about 3/8 of an inch and supplied me with a small heel lift for my right shoe. At first it seemed to be helping, but now after several weeks i feel tight in areas of my body that i suspect are related to the lift. My left hip, left mid-back and shoulder area feel much tigher than ever before and now I want to take the lift out although the right side seems to be doing better. Needless to say after doctoring for a while trying to solve these problems and feeling temporarily that I had infact done so, I am very frustrated. So what I would like to know most is depending on what side a lift is applied, what muscles would hypothetically tighen/loosen from the addition of the lift, and what side would they be on (lift or non-lift side)? Thank you.
I know this question is complicated so I would appreciate any general advice/ personal experience with leg lifts that might be helpful :)

I’m 15, almost 16. And recently, every single muscle in my body is growing, but I mean like big muscles. I’m not too tall and I’m skinny. I was for my whole life fit but now I’m getting jacked without doing any real exercise. I never took any supplements or shit like that. Any of you guys know why this might be? I doubt it’s my body growing naturally.

OK. I am 20 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and only weigh 48kg. I think I am an ectomorph which is a person who is naturally thin and gains weight hard. So what I am planning to do is build some muscles to look better. So here’s my question. I’ve heard advice that says to build muscles you need to eat a lot besides working out. Lately I’ve been finding it hard to eat a lot of food so if I don’t eat a lot but I work out, will the muscles grow?

I am 16 and about 6’3” tall. My growth plates in my feet are just about to close I know I still have height growth left in my legs and lower back and during puberty I have become lanky but I am a natural athlete since i am thin and I can jump high. I can barely dunk a basketball and I workout in the weight room 2 times a week atleast and I do plyometrics 3 times a week (started about a month and a half ago). I have been told that once I stop growing I am going to start having my muscles grow and naturally I will gain strength easier and be able to jump higher. I am wondering do my muscles grow faster and stronger more easily after I am done growing heightwise? And will I then see a major increase in my strength if I workout. Thank you for your answer.

I only need one more week till cheerleading tryouts is there anything i can probably do to increase the height of my jumps a tad bit or maybe even clean them. Also another question i wanted to ask do muscles help the height of your jumps?

iam 17 years old and my height is 5’1. i have really chubby and short legs that arent proportion to my upper body. i would just like to grow atleast 2-4 inches. is there still hope for me to grow with my age? if so, what can i do to grow taller. plus my thighs and calves (thats the leg ryt?) are really fatty and thick but they are toned. especially my calves are thick bcoz of muscles. what can i also do to make my calves more thinner and more feminine looking?

stretching is a part of ballet. I just dpn’t wany bulky muscles. I want beautiful long lean ballerina muscles. and im wondering if ballet will help lengthen them (i’ll do ballet whether it does or not) im a ballerina… but I was wondering if it helped.

From what I’ve heard and read, swimmers and basketball players stretch their bodies when they play, so that stretches their muscles. And like rubber bands, muscles never return to their original size. Due to that, the bones have more room to grow.

Is any of this true?

Can anyone tell me how to lose weight healthily/naturally while growing tall to my max potential (I’m worried to lose weight because I heard if you work out your growth hormones go to you muscles and I heard if you don’t eat a lot you won’t get your nutrients and grow).

I just turned 15 and I am 5 feet 10 inches tall and I want to be even taller. I have grown taller in the last month and I think its because I have had lots of milk lately. I have also heard some people say that stretching your spine and muscles make you taller….. Is that true??? Do any of you have any other ways that could help me grow taller and also how many inches to you think i could grow before I stop? I am a male by the way……

I tried some workout plan and it didn’t do much to me.
I don’t have any membership of a gym and equipment.
I am trying to find a FREE workout program(weightless/without equipment) to gain more muscles and grow taller. Can anyone help me and give me some advice?
