Im 13 and 5’3, going in to 9th grade. My dad is like 5’5 and my mom is 5’1.. ive been growing in the past year, while drinkingmilk and having alot of protein. my grandpa is like 6’1, but my grandma is like 4’11 or 5’0. the rest of my family are all average height..i want to be at least 5’9 one day. could this happen naturally?

Ok so I’m 14, 128lbs and 5’6 I’ve been weightlifting for the past year and a half now, and have only grown slowly in that time,I read up that it stunts your growth,if I give up the weights now at 14 is it still possible for me to grow? I now eat 2500cals a day, (all heathly,) gathering me enough vitamins and minerals and protein,carbs,fat etc. And now play basketball for 30minutes daily aswell as getting 9 hours sleep nightly, I was wondering if this is enough to help improve my chances of growing, I’m hoping to be around 5’10 atleast, I was considering to take up some stretches but I don’t know which ones work, do you guys know any? Or do you know any other ways I could get taller? Just to start of, I’m 5’5 and about 92-93 pounds and fourteen years old. I don’t think I have an eating disorder because I DO eat! Please tell me whether the following information given makes you feel I have an eating disorder or not! This is an example of what I eat: *I don’t eat the same thing everyday!
Breakfast:
Weetbix w/ soyamilk and a few dry fruits
Lunch:
Noodles, pasta, rice, or bread with a few veggies.
4:30 Snack: Soyamilk with fruit
Dinner: Rice, veggies and some sort of protein.
Around 1400-1600 calories.
I do not eat ANYTHING (not even a single chip) in between…I’m not sure why but I don’t.
I eat between 1/4-1/2 cup of uncooked rice for dinner and my soyamilk is around 200ml in the evening.
I don’t exercise that much but I climb a lot of stairs at school…and by that I mean quite a lot. I walk as much as possible and sometimes I try to fit in a 3km run. I have stopped having my periods since around 8 months and have lost around 8 kgs. It’s not much but I guess I was sorta NATURALLY thin to start with. Everytime I lose weight, I don’t feel like increasing at all! But when I look at tall, slim girls I start to say to myself "Eat right for the next couple of years and grow tall, then go on a diet" I say that almost every week but after eating my dinner, I have to work off the calories one way or the other. My friends keep telling me how skinny I am but they themselves look skinnier to me. I know that I’m skinnier only because they weigh about 10 pounds more. But when I look at myself, I only see fat thighs. I like the upper part of my body but my legs look so fat! My mom is constantly worried about my eating habits but I don’t think I need to because I do EAT! I’m not afraid of food! I just don’t eat junk (AT ALL-I literally mean NEVER, atleast at my own will) unless my parents or family force me. I’m eating…am I still at the risk of an ED? I want to be 39kgs. When I reach there, I will just maintain for a while and then come back to about 42-43kgs. But right now, thats my goal. I just want to know what my body will look like!
Btw, how many calories does 1/2 cup of uncooked rice have? I’m so worried right now :P

Hello. i recently turned 17, am around 140lb and 5’11 feet tall.

I do have a fair bit of knowledge on this subject area, but obviously i’m not a master, so i just want to ask a few questions to fil in the gaps so i can make the most of my work outs and get bigger (which is obviously my gain :3)

1.I drank 2 scoups of maximuscle progain for 6 weeks and gained 4 kilos, but it was all around my stomach. REAALLLY flabby stuff there haha. presumeably the carbs had done that. I was working out 3 times a week while taking the supplement. I want to know that if i were to take maximuscle proMAX instead..which has barely any carbs and is mostly protein…would i still gain weight but not around my tummy?

2.I’v been at a great gym for nearly 4 months and do see some progress. My muscles appear more defined, but i swear i’m not ‘bigger’. It makes no sense. i lift the heaviest weight i can and do chest and arms one day – back and shoulders the second – and legs on third. so its all even ish. why arent i getting bigger? (i eat a lot, not as though i’m purposely trying to force feed myself though)

3.my bones are naturally thin. so looking at my arms for example, yes you can see a clear defined bicep etc, but the arm itself is relatively small. will keeping to a hard routine sort of make my bones grow. maybe not grow..but my arms appear bigger? (sorry to make it awkward)

OK, so I’m 14, five foot 7 and weigh 126 lb and i started to work out two weeks ago but I stopped about two days ago. I did this because i have heard so many story’s of kids who work out when their young and then lifting stuns their growth which leads to a person to stop growing but I’m not sure if thats true. My doctor said that I will grow to be about 5 foot 10 based on statistics. some people told me that working out will make your muscles bigger therefor making it difficult for your bones to stretch which makes you grow and that if i were going to be 5 foot 10 ill only be 5 foot 8 or 9 if i work out. My wrestling Couch told me that is a myth and that you will grow taller if you work out because of an increased testosterone level. I don’t do squats with weight on my back, dead lifts because they stun growth . The exercises i do are
upright rows,-150lb 3sets 12 reps
d-bell and barbell curls,-30 per arm 4sets 10 reps
bi curls,-30lb 3 sets 12 reps
flat bench,-100lb 5 sets 10-12 reps
calf raises,- 100lb 4 sets 30 reps
military press,-50lb 3 sets 8-10 reps
dips,-body dips 3 sets 8-10 reps
side and front lateral raises,-15-20lb 3 sets 10 reps
reverse curls, -25lb 5 sets 15 reps
pull downs, -70lb 4 sets 12 reps
pull ups-body only 3 sets 10-15 reps
and upside down sit ups 3 sets 30 reps
I do all these exercises in 4 days of the week by splitting them up in to categories .
I eat three meals every day and some times a little more, a lot of protein. I have seen great results and their still coming. . My plan is to stop and only go like once a week and then continue 4 days a week in the beginning of 11th or 12th grade, I am currently in the middle of 9th grade let me know if you agree with me or another opinion of what i should do.If you guys think that i should stop working out let me know and why and if not let me know if there are any exercises you guys see in my list that are bad for the spine or that stun growth, i really want to get at least 5 foot 9. If i get taller that means i naturally will get bigger muscles Because but only if i eat correctly as i am now. Any additional info will be very appreciated, sorry this was so long by the way.

Any advices would help; I.E. ( what diets? any exercises? hours of sleep?

I’m thinking of majorly switching my lifestyle up cos i feel like i can still grow alot more cos my dad is 5"5 and so is my mom, but males on my mom’s side are GIANTS.
And my brother, who took most of my mom’s genes, just turned 15 this month and is 5"5! so he’s definitely gonna be tall when he’s around my age lol.
Well i have a high metabolism, I dont always smoke, but occasionally, I drink occasionally too, i never sleep early, i on average get like 4 or 5 hours of sleep everyday, I play basketball, but only once a week, during gym class in school, and i have really long legs but a short torso, i wear size 32 length trousers (and i’m a boy btw, i’m aware that most girls have naturally long legs) and really long hands(i can stand up straight and touch the top of my knee caps easily lol)

So this is my plan

I will make my sleep pattern better, having at least 8-9 hours of sleep each day, even on weekends.
I will have all 3 aquare meals each day, but what times will it be best for me to have those meals so that the nutrients will help me achieve maximum growth? Also, what kind of meals should i have? more protein? more carbs ? i dont know lol, please tell me

I will stop smoking, i might have a ciggarrete maybe every once in like a month or something, when i go to parties or something

I’m gonna become an avid swimmer as i hear swimming helps so i’ll go swimming for about an hour at least 5 times a week. What times would be most effective for me to swim to achieve maximum growth? p.s the swimming pool closes at 8 on weekdays and at 6 on weekends. And what strokes should i do to achieve maximum height, HGH secretion and all that?

Hi, I’m turning 14 soon in a few months. I play the center position for basketball which requires height. I’m currently 6 foot and taller than almost all my friends. I want to try and and grow to at least 6’10 so I can continue playing center in my future teams when I’m older.

I would like to know the chances of me reaching 6’10

My Father is 5’8, Mother is 5’7.
I always get atleast 1-2 hours of exercise per day
I eat alot of foods rich in protein and calcium.
I eat plenty of fruit but not as many vegetables
I will be 14 in a few months

So theres a few things I would like to know:
1-Is it possible for me to even reach 6’10?

Im 16 years old right now and weigh 145 or so pounds, im 6 feet tall. Ive been working out for like a year now 3x a week, but im not really seeing anything, only when i flex. Also in my bicep area my vein isnt showing or anything. The main areas i care about are shoulders, arms, and abs.
