I’m 14 now but 15 in september. I am around 5 foot 3 which is considered quite tall in my family,but that’s because i’m from an east asian family (though my twin brother is tall and my dad).
Anyway, I used to be definitely above average in height in primary school and average in year 7, but now alot of people who were shorter than me are taller than me and my twin brother cameron was always shorter than me and since high school he shot up. Though, i guess he’s a guy and that happens but same with shorter girls who have shot up above me too.
I have been this height for a while now (I have a height chart on my wall), around half a year ago, i was growing veryy slowly like 2 cm every 2 or 3 months but now i’ve seemed to stay around this height pretty much since. I don’t think i’ve had a growth spurt or will have one or is it that i’m just growing VERYY slowly?
Also, I had my period before alot of my friends and developed before too, but my breasts are only a size 34A which is really small compared to ALOT of girls my age and some even in the year below. I’ve stayed this size for about a year or less as well.
I’m 41kg and I know this is quite light, but trust me, I eat alot. I think it’s because I have a high metabolism or i’m quite sporty. And I get around 8 or 7 hours sleep, but I do eat quite a healthy diet.
Is it possible i’m not growing to grow much taller than this? I am taller by a few cm than my mum, she’s about 5 foot 3 and my dad’s around 5 foot 10, my twin brother is 5 foot 7 and my other brother (17) is around 5 foot 6 or 7.
Is there any thing I could do to help my growing increase faster naturally? Or any other tips? Is there a way to check that you are still growing (Apart from height and breast size obviously, since these don’t seem to help-this is a bit stupid this question ha ha)
I know that girls don’t stop growing till around 18 but could it be different because i’m asian and to do with my parents genes?
P.S I heard junk food is supposed to stunt growth but I guess I eat quite balanced. Though, I like to eat sweets like most teens but I don’t eat them too regularly. And sorry and thanks for taking the time to read this 5 year long question. Aha 
i want to be taller and i know its a long term kind of thing, also genetics, i have the patience to do this clean and simple like naturally.

Ok so I’m 14, 128lbs and 5’6 I’ve been weightlifting for the past year and a half now, and have only grown slowly in that time,I read up that it stunts your growth,if I give up the weights now at 14 is it still possible for me to grow? I now eat 2500cals a day, (all heathly,) gathering me enough vitamins and minerals and protein,carbs,fat etc. And now play basketball for 30minutes daily aswell as getting 9 hours sleep nightly, I was wondering if this is enough to help improve my chances of growing, I’m hoping to be around 5’10 atleast, I was considering to take up some stretches but I don’t know which ones work, do you guys know any? Or do you know any other ways I could get taller? And don’t give me any of this crap like elevator shoes or pills cuz there just a waste of time and my parents won’t let me get them, 10 points best answer, I’m a male by the way
K so I’m 11 year old girl. My mom is 5"7 and my dad is 5"11 3/4. I have strong genetics from both my parents. My mom was her height when she turned 12. I’m going through my puberty and I’m almost done with it. I started in 3rd grade. Since it’s summer here are the things I get to do almost every single day:
-Sleep 10-12 hours
-Drink lots of milk
-Swim a lot (My grandma and my neighbor both have a pool)
-Eat lots of veggies (We have a huge garden)
-Walk atleast 2 miles a day (Me and my mom take a walk every day)
-I’m a water baby! (Been drinkng it a lot since I was a baby) It’s my favorite drink!
-I NEVER drink caffeine
-I hate junk food and food with lots of sugar. So, I don’t have to worry about that.
I’m 5"00 and I want to be about in between 5"3- 5"5 before schools starts.
(Me wanting to get taller has nothing to do with school or popularity)
Plz don’t say you can’t force it and it depends on your genetics.Plz just leave some ways NATURALLY that I can grow taller. I will not take a pill or anything to do with medicine and stuff that isn’t natural. 
Another thing, not bragging, I’m really strong. I can pick up both of my best friends’ at the same time. So I can hold about 200 lbs. I think I have lots of muscle cuz one time when I got mad I broke a wooden chair by hitting it. I know u probably wont believe me or you’ll say i have anger issues but its the truth.

I’m currently 5’8 at 17 and have a 4’11 mum and a 5’7 dad. I assume they shrunk a inch or two as they’re 50+.
You see, I want to be a high fashion male model but the requirements are high, minimum at about 5’11.
I’m from an asian ethinic background (Cambodian and Chinese) but I have been told I had tall grandparents, two uncles and a aunty who died in the Pol Pot War. I say this because my mum and and two surviving uncles were quite short (mum side, uncles about 5’6) compared to their siblings. Mum told me that the goodlooking people had to die etc Have no idea why? (my mum is just short, thankfully). I don’t want you guys to get too attached to this story but yes, I had uncles, aunties and grandparents around 5’10 to 6ft plus. This is just my mum side, I rarely talk to my dad as we bicker occasionally.
My shoe size is 11 ½ inches US which is awkwardly not proportioned to my height (dunno whether it’s a sign). I’ve never really had a growth spurt, I just gradually grew into my height. Mum said I was about 3ft when I was 2….
I’m just psyching myself out because I do think I will get upset if I don’t grow anymore.
Lately, I’ve been taking nature owns multivitamins to replace all my missing supplements and drinking milk and I do sleep 8 hours a night even on school nights.
Is there anyway to improve my chances on becoming taller, even though I might not?
As I assume the majority of users on WP are over 18, are there people who’ve had similar worries to me at my age and realised they actually grew taller? Like how tall were you at 17 and how tall are you currently?

I turned 16 a month ago, and it’s gonna be summer now. I don’t know why, but I think I usually tend to grow over the summer, might be because I sleep alot more but I don’t know. Anyway, I’m about 5’10” and my shoe size is 8-9. My hands and feet are kind of small, but I’m okay with my height. My dad is 6’2” or 6’3” and wears shoe size 13, but my mom is like 5’5” and obviously has tiny feet lol. I was just wondering if I will sort of.. "fill out" over this summer maybe. I don’t care much about height but I do wanna know if it’s possible that my hands and feet will grow to more adult sizes, hopefully to shoe size 10 and hands a little longer/thicker since I’m guessing they’re not done growing. My dad’s feet didn’t stop growing until he was 18, but I don’t think I’ll be as tall as him. Anyway, that’s why I usually wait until end of the summer to buy new school shoes because I may have grown a size or half of one. So is there a chance I can grow this summer ? Or what can I do to promote more growth naturally in height and also extremities ? I know I can’t theoretically have another growth spurt, but if I have a good amount of growth left, will I see some this summer ? I haven’t grown for a while. Thanks. (: – Kev.
Right now i about 5’9 and i am 15 years old. every tells me that am pretty tall for my age and doctors say by next year I’ll be 6’2 so for basketball reasons how can i get taller naturally. Also does sleeping affect growth because i sleep from 10 pm to 4:30 am.PLEASE HELP

I’m 15 & about 5’9…close to 5’10, and wondering how I could further increase my height. I know that sleep has a lot to do with the growth process, and that eight hours is required if you’re trying to get maximum growth. I also heard that there are certain hormones released during exercise that are released during sleep that cause growth. Is there any truth to that? And what all can I do to get maximum growth.
I may be dreaming, but I’d love to be able to grow to being anywhere from 6’5-6’8, and I want to make that possible.
Lol, thanks for the answers thus far and I know it sounds crazy to want to be from 6’5-6’8, but it is somewhat possible considering I haven’t actually hit my growth spurt. I was just wondering if there were any outside factors I could control, so when I do hit my growth spurt, I’ll be as tall as possible.

Well, I’m a girl. I’m in 8th grade, got my period in 5th. My doctor told me I probably would never grow. BOY was she wrong! I’m so happy I’m growing! Just a few weeks ago, my feet got bigger by a full shoe size. Then I grew a bit taller, and I still am. I drink a lot of milk every day now, and am trying my best to eat healthier. My school makes me exercise super hard and I love just running/playing sports or whatnot everyday anyway! I also love stretching, so I also do that too. I’m really getting good sleep in now also. I sleep at 8 and wake up at about 5:30 naturally. So 9 and a half hours of sleep. You think there’s any more (haha, as if I don’t have enough!) ways to increase my potential? When my mom was younger, she had a size 8. She’s 5’5". My feet are almost size 9 and a half now. So maybe that means I’ll grow taller than her? I mean, my older brother grew taller than my dad. My older sister, I think, maybe neglected what she did/does since she’s 18 and only 5’2" and a half, and I’m just growing haha. For my race my family is pretty tall. Sooo.. you think there would be any more I can do or am I doing just fine? Thanks!

Well I turned seventeen 3 months ago, and my feet are 11-11 1/2 inches, but I’m 5’6". And i haven’t had good habits like working out and sleep. I grew an inch in height about a year ago. thing is I don’t know much about genetics and how tall my parents are because I’m adopted. Will I grow taller? I hear people grow into their shoe size. Will changing my lifestyle, like getting more sleep, excercise and eating healthy help me get taller?

problem: i seriously cry myself to sleep most nights and i spend around 5 hours of my day working on my hair and trying to do everything for it. and thats just for my hair. i spend a lot of time on whitening my teeth, applying makeup, losing weight, everything i possibly can to be more beautiful.

Hi, i am 16 years old my current height is 5’9 (175 cm). I eat lots of protein diet like eggs, milk, yoghurt etc. I exercise regulary for 45 -65 minutes daily. I get 8 hours of sleep. I’ve been the same height and weight for a while now
and I’d like to grow a bit taller and bulk up a bit
for the upcoming football season.
Any advices would help; I.E. ( what diets? any exercises? hours of sleep?
and would you recommend me taking supplements like – Whey Protein; to help me bulk up? )

my parents are normal, or idk. mom is 5’2 and dad’s 5’6. i know i have gone through their height already but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible.
My mother’s family is tall, not my father’s.
i hear lots of people say "it’s all in your genes, if your parents are short then you probably will too", well get this- it’s not ONLY genes, it’s 60% genetics and 40% diet/health.

So, i do these things and i hope they pay off. I’m gonna try this out all the way to summer, and then see if i have changed.

My parents never had a good lifestyle and diet when they were young, so they never got good vitamins in their body. Who knows what height-hormones was hiding behind those bodies. but I on the other hand have a good lifestyle so far. I do my best and work my *** off to get the best results.

my diet is perfect! [I eat 6 small meals per day]
my posture is awesome.
i drink LOADS of milk! and stretch 3 times a day for 5minutes, and i sleep alot, 8-9 hours a day.
i eat Veggies,Cheese,Fruits exc. no junk food.. no alcohol, no smoking. im easily doing everything to gain those extra inches 
i JUST turned 17, 17 and 2 months now ^^ how tall can i become?
