I’m 19 years old
I’m 5’7" barefoot and 5’8" with shoes on but as you can see from the bid my torso is really small. I heard your spine grows later than the rest of your body

Will I get any taller?

Ok i really want to be in the 6’0s im 5"11 and 16 years old will stretching my legs and spine exercises work and p.s. if im 5"11 at 16 am i done growing or is there another growth spurt after 16

OK, so I’m 14, five foot 7 and weigh 126 lb and i started to work out two weeks ago but I stopped about two days ago. I did this because i have heard so many story’s of kids who work out when their young and then lifting stuns their growth which leads to a person to stop growing but I’m not sure if thats true. My doctor said that I will grow to be about 5 foot 10 based on statistics. some people told me that working out will make your muscles bigger therefor making it difficult for your bones to stretch which makes you grow and that if i were going to be 5 foot 10 ill only be 5 foot 8 or 9 if i work out. My wrestling Couch told me that is a myth and that you will grow taller if you work out because of an increased testosterone level. I don’t do squats with weight on my back, dead lifts because they stun growth . The exercises i do are
upright rows,-150lb 3sets 12 reps
d-bell and barbell curls,-30 per arm 4sets 10 reps
bi curls,-30lb 3 sets 12 reps
flat bench,-100lb 5 sets 10-12 reps
calf raises,- 100lb 4 sets 30 reps
military press,-50lb 3 sets 8-10 reps
dips,-body dips 3 sets 8-10 reps
side and front lateral raises,-15-20lb 3 sets 10 reps
reverse curls, -25lb 5 sets 15 reps
pull downs, -70lb 4 sets 12 reps
pull ups-body only 3 sets 10-15 reps
and upside down sit ups 3 sets 30 reps
I do all these exercises in 4 days of the week by splitting them up in to categories .
I eat three meals every day and some times a little more, a lot of protein. I have seen great results and their still coming. . My plan is to stop and only go like once a week and then continue 4 days a week in the beginning of 11th or 12th grade, I am currently in the middle of 9th grade let me know if you agree with me or another opinion of what i should do.If you guys think that i should stop working out let me know and why and if not let me know if there are any exercises you guys see in my list that are bad for the spine or that stun growth, i really want to get at least 5 foot 9. If i get taller that means i naturally will get bigger muscles Because but only if i eat correctly as i am now. Any additional info will be very appreciated, sorry this was so long by the way.

I’m 16, still think I am growing and I want to grow to my tallest potential! My Dad is 6’3" while my Mom is 5’3". I’ve taken after my Dad in about everything, metabolism, looks, etc. and I’d also like to take after him in height. I’ve already exceeded my Mother’s height, I am 5’5", and I’d like to be at least 5’8" by summer. I am going to be in New York and I want to go to a modeling agency! I’ve been told I have the face, just not the height.

I have a chinese friend in my classroom and he is obsessed in being tall. the other day we were joking with him and we hit him 3 times in the backbone (more or less hard) and he started to worry about his height and everything. So he asked people wether hitting people on the spine can cause the stunt of growth and we began laughing at him.

So he is 13 and he wanna know if hitting people in the spine can cause stunt of growth (and he whats to know if he’ll grow naturally as if the hits never happened) and is he in the average asian height size? He’s only 13 and 8 months old and he plays basketball (he’s the youngest in grade 8 right now). I am asking to make him feel better cuz he’s mad at me… thanks

During my last physical my doctor told me i have a very slight curve in my spine. This monday i am going to see another doctor who will straighten out my spine. When he straightens it, will i slightly increase in height?

Ever since I was a little child I have been taller than the normal kid should be.
A lot of my anger is directed toward my parents, and I have since stopped talking to them altogether. (For a lot of reasons, not just their irresponsible neglect of my unnatural height.)
My mother and father are both of average height at 5’3 and 5’6, respectfully. Because of this fact, I know I’m not supposed to even be this tall naturally, something must have gone wrong biologically and my parent just ignored it!

To tell you the truth I used to be a bit taller than I am right now.
I used to be 6’2 even but am no longer.
Why?
Because right now I am very upset and obsessed over my height. I have started to slouch a lot more and I have started to various different "things" to my back and neck in order to shave off some inches off my ridiculous height.
I have a daily routine in which I measure myself 7 to 8 times every day, Also in an attempt to make myself shorter I have fill my book bag full of heavy weights that make the backpack incredibly heavy! I wear this backpack for 3 to 4 hours straight in hopes that his will permanently compress my spine and I will be able to achieve the height of 5’11 or at least 5’11.5.
Doing this on a daily basis is extremely painful! There are many time all fall over from pain and exhaustion from hoping the backpack for so long.
I also try and compress my neck down in order to lose so height that way.
When ever I go to the store I cannot find any shoes that fit. Being a giant can be hard in the clothing department! I have to order my shoes online. I always go the same kind shoes every time. The one’s with the VERY least amount of heel thickness to them. When I do finally get them in the mail I immediately go out and scrape them against the sidewalk in order to wear down the heel almost all the rest of the way.
I think the exercise I’m doing with the backpack is working, it’s just that I think it is starting to do some serious damage to my back. I feel like I need to stop before things get worse, but at the same time I can’t bear to not reach my goal! I can’t take my mind off my height!
Right it seems I’m willing to try anything to make myself shorter.
Man if I were 5’5 do you know how happy I would be?
I would see guys and even some GIRLS just as tall as me!
Right now I tower over all!
I’m screwed for life being a huge guy.
All my life people my comments about just how huge I am.
I’m even thinking for changing my actual name to reflect my huge stature.

OK i have a Curve spine.
and the Curve is quite big if i had my spine straightened will i be a bit taller? and also after i had it done will i grow alot faster too?

Im 15 years old and am 5’6. I want to grow 8-12 inches by the time im 21. Anyway I can do this. What stuff should i do to grow taller? oh yeah i have a small adamsapple so i guess thhat means im going through puberty right now. what should i eat? i heard sleep helps u grow because u stretch ur spine is that true?

I’m a 5’5 guy with short legs. I got a towering 6’3 friend. He has a pair of legs as short as mine. His has a very obvious lengthy spine. I don’t want to be like him. I want longer legs. How to achieve that?

Im 16 years old right now and weigh 145 or so pounds, im 6 feet tall. Ive been working out for like a year now 3x a week, but im not really seeing anything, only when i flex. Also in my bicep area my vein isnt showing or anything. The main areas i care about are shoulders, arms, and abs. I eat around 60g of protein a day and on days i work out, i drink these supplements with 30g of protein right after. Also i heard that working out pressures your spine and it causes you to stop growing taller and shrinks you is this true? Please dont give me some extreme diet, because i go to school and live a normal life so i cant do those lean chicken stuff and stay away from bad foods because i get them naturally in the lunch line.

many said height increase is affected by heredity, what you eat, your lifestyle, exercise and based from what i’ve read in a website we can use hypnosis to increase our height. But I want to ask those who grew tall from 6 foot- 7foot. Or what did you observe in a 6foot or taller’s lifestyle. Is it the food? I have also heard some people say that stretching your spine and muscles make you taller….. Is that true??? I read somewhere that if you do spine,lower back,back, etc stretches/exercises, it would increase your height. Does it really increase your height or does it just make you more flexible?

My right leg is about an inch shorter… its throwing my whole body off. My pelvis, spine, and shoulders are not even. It’s about an inch off. I am a 20 something female. I want a lift in only one shoe, a normal shoe… I don’t usually wear openned toed shoes or "heels".

Where can I find lifts? Are there any places where I can try them on at the store? How do I get it to stay in place in my shoe? What materials should I look out for or avoid? Any other tips? :)
