What is this large leaf plant?
Hi, I am living in Ellicott City, Maryland. This summer, a large leaf plant automatically appeared in the front of my garage (see the picture of this plant by clicking the following link)

It grows very fast (> 3 feet tall within a month) while some nearby grass turn yellowish because of the extreme heat and sunburn. Does anyone know the name of that plan?

Sorry, don’t know the name, looks kindof like a datura, but you wouldn’t have that in your area.
If this is your first year at the house, it’s probably some sort of perennial that was there, I think it’s quite handsome and that it’s probably a landscaping plant and it does look familiar to me, I just don’t know the name.
Try taking a leaf to your local garden store, they can probably tell you. Don’t just try to describe it to them (they’ll laugh at you, at least they always do at me!) take a leaf for them to look at.
