Where does one get a lift for a shoe made?
The chiropractor put one in my shoe and my hip and knee pains are all but gone. However, this one is very flimsy and I need to have something more substantial and i would think two or three kinds for different shoes.
Any ideas? Oh, and does insurance cover it?

I’d suggest searching for "orthopedic inserts" + your location (use the plus sign) on your favorite search engine. It will bring up several possibilities relavent to your location if you need fittings, or custom made items.
There are lifts readily available "off the shelf". They are quite inexpensive ($7.00 – $30.00) and may be covered by insurance (check your plan). If you are looking for custom fitted lifts, I think an orthopoedic surgeon can refer you to someone.
I would start off with medical supply stores. After that I would start calling prosthetic offices.
Podiatrist! You obviously have ‘a’ problem therefore need to know what the problem is? Could it be the arch has fallen, one leg is shorter than the other, or one foot is turning inwards when you walk? Therefore before you buy and perhaps waste money, you may want to see a Podiatrist, who will look at your feet, walking gait and get the ‘correct’ insole for you. I am due to have my feet ‘cast’ next week, so they can make exact, precise insoles for me. Once they have the ‘cast’ I can then reorder whenever I change my shoes. Best of Luck
