Will adding rubberbands around your shoes increase your jump height?
I know it won’t but im asking this to settle an argument, my friend said that adding rubber bands to his shoes will help him jump higher because the "elasticity" will transfer to the shoe and give you better vertical, i know that doesnt make much sense but he thinks it does, but im telling him that it won’t ’cause that isnt how rubber bands work and it isnt how the process by which energy transfers works, help me out here would you?

There wouldn’t be enough elastic to make a difference, think about the bottom of a shoe… its rubber. why would adding a single rubber band make a difference?
