Hi,
Calcium supplements will not make you grow taller. The biggest reason for taking calcium supplements for most people is to prevent osteoporosis.
For a young person such as yourself this is not really an issue, so you probably don’t need calcium supplementation. You will get enough calcium for your needs if you have a balanced diet.
If you really want to try some calcium supplements them make sure you don’t take too much as excessive calcium can contribute to things like kidney stones and milk-alkali syndrome. Calcium can also interfere with iron absorption so don’t take calcium and iron supplements together.
yea
i have not tried it…. I don’t want to… but probally not. it will just give you strong bones
No, you have no control over how tall you are going to be.
No, your height is determined by your genes. Calcium will make your bones stronger and more dense so they won’t break easily.
No, calcium will strengthen bones but they will not make you taller. You have to have a good diet and exercise right. Also at 14 you still have lots of time to grow and might not even hit your growth spurt yet so don’t worry. Lastly genetics decide how much you can grow, not calcium.
No, calcium deficiency will make you not grow, but to take them won’t make you any taller than your genes intended. Especially at age 14, being a female, yo are mostly one growing anyway. Calcium will be beneficial for strong bones, and if you want to help prevent shrinking in later years, but you will not grow any more by taking calcium.
No.
I’m not sure what calcium would do exactly, but you’re probably too late to make any large impact on your height. Girls have their last real growth spurt right before their first period, then grow a little more throughout the 2 years after their first period. After that you could grow more but not by much. Maybe you don’t even have your period yet idk, just assuming since avg. age to get it is like 12 i think. If you have a legitimate concern about your height you should get your growth plates x-rayed, if they’re still open you can take growth hormone. I was supposed to do that but mine were 98% closed (only a year and a half after my first period)
