will i grow taller ? !HELP!?
im goin to be 18 December 17…im already 5’8 (5"9 with shoes) will i still grow ??? LOTS of people told me that puberty doesnt end in guys until early 20′s for some. i want to be around 5"10 with out shoes lol… THNX

People start and end puberty at different times. If you look this up in a medical book, it will give you a range of the ages that most males will start and end puberty and most of their growth. Even though they give ranges that cover a few years, a lot of people still fall out of this range. Those ranges are just statistics. Most people will start and stop growing within those age ranges, but we know that many normal people will fall outside of this range.
It is your growth plates that decide when you stop growing. these are the areas at the ends of your bones where new bone growth occurs. Once those close, growing is stopped. Once the growth plates are closed, bone length will not increase. When someone seems very delayed in their growth (i.e., they haven’t hit their growth spurt and they are getting older), physicians evaluate that by taking x-rays to look at the gorwth plates.

These calculatons are not perfect, however. I know many people who are vry tall, but have average, or small parents (I wonder how tall their milkman was…).
Anyway, with all of that said, I would think that you might still grow some, but I would not expect you to grow another 2 inches (although I guess it is possible). I might also depend on if you are in a growing spurt right now.
If you don’t reach the height you want, think about the way you carry yourself. Obviosuly standing up straight (with alot of people do not do) will make you look taller than slouching. Also, confidence and personality tend to make a difference. I know a guy who everyone would swear is well over 6 feet tall (I ahve aksed people to guess his height), and he is actually 5’11". He just has a pretty commanding presence.

It is possible. Puberty doesn’t end util 18-22, so you coudl still grow another inch or two. Drink lots of milk as it will help with the growth of bones, just be careful, as milk is bad for skin, and it’s very fatty.
If you don’t end up growing, you could get lifts for your shoes, or buy shoes that make you (look) taller.
If you’re going to just buy tall shoes, make sure they’re subtle, as when people see you walking around with huge shoes, they’ll be like.. oh… he’s short.
